Between 14:00 UTC and 02:00 UTC, the felts of LivePoker4Uare open for live poker. The site, which is fronted by Eli Elezra, offers live dealers 12 hours a day as it seeks to build a following and expand its brand. At LivePoker4U, a professional dealer conducts the game. As text on its website notes, “Instead of a machine deciding the fate of the cards, our live poker rooms are run by professional live poker dealers who are doing everything right in front of your observing eyes and to your full satisfaction.”

LivePoker4U is on the verge of rolling out a VIP program that will consist of three levels: Silver Club, Gold Club, and the upper echelon, Platinum Club. When the VIP program will be launched and what perks it will include haven’t been announced, but we’ll keep you posted as we learn more.

If you’re a fan of private poker games, you can actually book your own room at LivePoker4U. Site officials note, “You reserve a table, and invite your friends to play, and we bring the live poker dealers. Via webcam, you can see live poker dealers shuffling real cards around a real table; you can also see your friends.” You can inform the room’s dealers about any special rules your home games have and, because they’re real human beings, their actions will change accordingly.

We think online home games, like the ones you’ll see on sites like LivePoker4U and PokerStars, are especially useful for groups that are spread out. We know players in our old home game who now live several hours away. In essence, we could get the band back together and resurrect our old home game online. To boot, we’ll see the cards being dealt in a live poker studio right before our eyes.

In your private room, you can determine the number of players, blind levels, payouts, and more. As LivePoker4U’s website notes, the sky’s the limit: “Maybe you want to create a satellite to the next World Series of Poker and have the rest of your friends sweat the winner all the way to the final table. Your dream is our command!”

What are some of the advantages to playing online poker with a live dealer? Sure, you’re likely to get in fewer hands and the pace will be a bit slower, but you can make deals, run boards multiple times, and interact with professional dealers. Overall, it’s a unique spin on online poker. If something goes haywire, you can even request to speak to a live floor manager, who will hopefully resolve any problems you have.

And by the way, if you’re not familiar with Eli Elezra (pictured), the Israeli native has over $2.1 million in tournament poker earnings to his name and has also appeared on cash game series like “High Stakes Poker.” Eight years ago, he defeated a final table that included Lee Watkinson, Gabe Kaplan, John Juanda, and Scotty Nguyen in the Mirage Poker Showdown, a stop on the World Poker Tour. The victory was worth over a million bucks.
