This week’s Podcast features interviews with Daniel “djk123” Kelly and Alex “assassinato” Fitzgerald.

Daniel Kelly, a first year engineering student at Villanova, has already accumulated (and lost) what many poker players would call a small fortune. At one point, he went from $0 to $60,000 on PokerStars (and back to $0 again) in a week’s time. Still, this online superstar has had more tournament success than most people twice his age, and his currently ranked #20 in the world at online tournament play. Daniel is a proud member of Team Mhrep, a group of young online players who are getting into the backing business.

Our second guest this week hails from the Seattle area, and quickly became a force to reckon with at the virtual tables. Alex “assassinato” Fitzgerald first built his bankroll through single-table Sit & Go Tournaments, then later progressed to MTTs before settling in at cash games. Alex’s story is unique in many ways, but perhaps the most intriguing part is that he’s one of the few players in online poker history to make a successful transition from “Pushbot Poker” used in Sit & Go’s to the inspired post-flop play required in cash games.
