Perhaps lost in the shuffle of a bundle of wins by high-stakes pros over the weekend was a victory by Montreal’s Marc-Andre Ladouceur (pictured) in the PokerStars Sunday 500. He outlasted fellow pro David donkcommitedMiscikowski after a heads-up chop and earned $59,000 to Miscikowski’s $60,000. Ladouceur plays on PokerStars under the user name FrenchDawg.

He apparently had a tough day up until his win in the Sunday 500. According to PokerNews, Ladouceur was stuck $10,000 and, according to his Twitter, he pointed out, “First final table of 2015 on PokerStars Sunday 500, $70K on top. Need 7th to break even on the day.” He eventually more than bested seventh place, which paid out $11,000, en route to his win after a two-way deal.

The French-Canadian had plenty of support along the way, as one person responded on Twitter, “Just watched it from 8 to heads-up. Great call with 7-7 & good job on what I think were some good timed floats.” Another railbird posted, “WTG Marc. Was watching for a while. Knew you could do it.”

Ladouceur is perhaps best known for a 13th place run in the 2012 World Series of Poker Main Event for almost a half-million dollars. That was one of three six-figure scores in the span of three months for him, and he now owns $1.6 million in career live tournament winnings, according to the Hendon Mob. He is #42 on the all-time money list for Canada and #88 worldwide on GPI.

Miscikowski, who took second to Ladouceur in the Sunday 500, has almost $800,000 in career online tournament winnings on Full Tilt alone. Here were the final table results:
