August was another hot month of online poker action for PocketFivers over at 888poker. Between the value in marquee events like Sunday’s $100,000 Mega Deep and the start of the all-new Millions Superstorm, players who took their talents to the 888poker online tables were able to find incredible opportunities to boost their bankroll before heading into the final quarter of 2020.

Mexico’s ‘cmzen1’ led all PocketFivers in earnings on 888poker in the month of August with a haul of $22,103 in total earnings. The #11-ranked player in Mexico racked up 11 cashes in the month including outlasting the 653-entry field in the August 23 edition of the $100,000 Sunday Mega Deep for an $18,750 score, the second biggest win of his online career.

Playing under his 888poker screen name ‘StrbxGrndr’, he nearly made the final table of the same tournament just one week later, adding an important $550 to his monthly total and pushing his career earnings to nearly $590,000.

‘cmzen1’s final cash of the month was just enough to push him past the UK’s Charlie ‘chaz_man_chaz’ Combes who finished August in second place with $21,991 in earnings. Combes, a former top-10 ranked PocketFiver with more than $8.2 million in career earning, also spent significant time on 888, picking up 12 total cashes.

Combes booked the bulk of his 888poker earnings at the very beginning of the month with a victory in the August 2 edition of the $100,000 Sunday Sale Mega Deep. Instead of paying full price, Combes posted the sale price of just $55 which brought him a payday of $17,000. He backed that up with a four-figure score in the August 24 $10,000 Monsoon, picking up $1,550 in a runner-up finish.

Brazil’s Eli ’Timunim’ Fagundes also had a nice August, earning a total of $13,733 which was good for third place on the Top Earners list. Playing under his 888poker screen name ‘QuibeDoNeto’, Fagundes nearly bested the 656-player field in the August 16 edition of the $100,000 Sunday Mega Deep however, he fell just one spot short. His runner-up finish earned him $13,500, his largest-ever payday on 888poker. He added those earnings to his more than $1.1 million in career online cashes.

It was another massive month for the Netherlands’ ‘HeateN’ as he, once again, claimed the top spot on the 888poker Most Cashes list for August. It wasn’t quite as prolific as his performance in July, when the grinder racked up 146 cashes, but his 106 cashes in August was more than enough to get the job done.

Over the course of those cashes, ‘HeateN’ managed to bring in $6,168 for an average cash of just over $58. His total was helped by his bronze medal finish in the August 23 edition of the $15,000 Mini Mega Deep which brought him $1,630.

Renan ‘aleplis’ Porto from Brazil finished the month in the number two spot with a total of 54 cashes and $798 in earnings. This is the second month in a row that Porto has made this list, as the micro-stakes grinder again put in significant volume in an effort to build his bankroll.

Porto’s countryman Daniel ‘dandeprimo’ Pedro de Primo Santos joins him in the top three of Most Cashes list, coming in third with 47 results for $869. Also a small stakes grinder, should Santos put in another month as he did in August, he’ll eclipse the $20,000 earnings mark for his young career.

Just like he did in July, ‘HeateN’ found himself at the top of two categories as his 106 cashes also resulted in four victories, which is tied for the top of the Most Wins list.

He’s joined there by Ukraine’s ‘ATATA R0mk0’ who cashed 23 times on 888poker in August for a total of $2,085 and four victories. Also, Russia’s ’jlaku’ picked up four wins from his 27 results, which was good for $1,424.
