Sweden’s ‘lena900’ Crushes the $9 Million Mark

The current #3-ranked player in the world, All-Star Swedish grinder ‘lena900’, surpassed the massive milestone of $8 million in lifetime earnings by doing what he’s been doing for years – destroying tournaments and finding his way to top-three finishes. The push over $9 million happened when he picked up $7,859 for his third-place finish in the PokerStars Omania High Roller: $530 PLO. Out of the thirteen final tables ‘lena900’ found himself at this week, he played his way into the top 3 seven times.

Despite taking a few days off at the end of the week, ‘lena900’ brought in over $47,000 helping him get a jump start on his next conquest – the steep climb to the elite plateau of $9 million.

Owain ‘sngwonder’ Carey Tops $3 Million

UK Top 10 ranked pro Owain ‘sngwonder’ Carey marched over the $3 million lifetimes earnings mark this week thanks to his first-place finish in the PokerStars Big $55 for a nice score of $6,944. Carey, currently ranked #59 in the Worldwide Rankings, is approaching his previous all-time high mark (#55 back in 2016) in the Top 100 on the back of five four-figure cashes this week while putting in moderate volume. Joining Carey at the $3 million mark is ‘yrwthmelthr’who accomplished the feat during the same tournament that sent ‘lena900’ over $9 million, the PokerStars Omania High Roller: $530 PLO, when he finished in 12th place for $2,156.

’kofi89’ Continues to Elevate, Surpasses $2 Million

If you’ve been paying attention to the Milestones column over the past few weeks you’ll recognize the Argentinan screenname of ‘kofi89’. The crusher has been climbing the ranks of the Worldwide Top 100, hitting new heights week in and week out, including this week. To go along with his new All-Time High ranking of #30, this week ‘kofi89’ sped past the $2 million lifetime earnings mark.

‘kofi89’, the top-ranked player in Argentina, scored $8,208 for his victory in the PokerStars $215 NLO8 Sunday Supersonic at the beginning of the week which was all he needed to hit his new mark.

‘josef_shvejk’ Disrupts the Top 10

Ten players made major moves to hit new All-Time Highs in the PocketFives.com Worldwide Top 100 rankings this week including the #2-ranked Russian player in the world‘josef_shvejk’ who now joins his fellow countryman ‘veeea’ in the Top 10, jumping fives spots to #8. Two players make their debut in the Top 100 this week as Hungary’s ‘untaktik’ assumes the #98 rank and Brazil’s ‘sitpro2011’ takes over at #86. The aforementioned ‘kofi89’ made the largest leap of those obtaining new highs, jumping seven spots to #30, edging ever-closer to cracking the Top 20.
