Chris ‘moorman1’ Moorman Earns Record 27th Triple Crown

Author, 888poker ambassador and online poker legend Chris ‘moorman1’ Moorman extended his record-high number of PocketFives Triple Crown wins this week when he earned his 27th Triple Crown.

Moorman’s first victory of the week was on his home site of 888poker when he won the $100,000 Sunday Mega Deep on February 5 for $23,446. He then followed it up with a pair of victories over on PokerStars including a win in the Hot $44 for $4,159 on February 6. Finally, to complete the feat he took down a third tournament, the BIG10 $20,000 Gtd, for $3,870 the very next day. His latest Triple Crown badge puts him at six more than the next closest PocketFiver, Nicolas ‘PokerKaiser’ Fierro (21), and makes it his second Triple Crown within the past four months, his previous one coming on October 30, 2017.

Along with the Triple Crown, Moorman picked up enough PLB points to catapult him back into the top 100, currently sitting at #71 in the world.

Joining Moorman in earning a Triple Crown this week was Ukraine’s #2-ranked player, ‘Palyaaa’. For ‘Palyaaa’, it’s his first time achieving the honor and he did so with victories on partypoker, PokerStars and WPN. On January 30 he took down a $25,000 Gtd for $5,750 and then on February 5 he won a PokerStars $82 tournament for $2,503. Then on the same day, he won two different partypoker tournaments, both for over $2,000 securing him the Triple Crown badge.

Next up for the Ukranian is $3 million in lifetime earnings, a mark that he is likely to achieve in 2018.

Together ‘Palyaaa’ and Moorman mark the third and fourth Triple Crown of the year.

Sebastian ‘p0cket00’ Sikorski Surpasses $11 Million

Canada’s Sebastian ‘p0cket00’ Sikorski achieved another major milestone this week as he becomes only the third person PocketFives history to reach the $11 million lifetime earnings mark. He reached the plateau after taking third in the PokerStars Sunday 500 for $23,150.
