Russia’s ‘Veeea’ Moves Past $7M In Lifetime Earnings

It’s been a helluva week for Russia’s top-ranked player, ‘veeea’. Not only didhe jump from #8 to #3 in the PocketFives Rankings, but he also managed to become just the 30th player in PocketFives history to top $7 million in lifetime earnings. He actually joined that exclusive club thanks to a sixth place finish in the PokerStars Sunday Million on August 20 where earned $39,036.

Hungarian ‘kZhh’ Cracks Top 40 for First Time

Just over 18 months ago, Hungary’s ‘kZhh’ was a complete unknown in the online poker world, happily grinding away in the micro-stakes. Now he’s a TCOOP and Sunday Million champion and just this week he managed to senak into the top 40 of the PocketFives Worldwide Rankings. He went from #42 to #39 despite not recording a single cash. The only Hungarian player ranked higher is Andras ‘probirs’ Nemeth, who sits at #11 worldwide.

Two players, Rômulo ‘Primao89’ Araujo and Matthew ‘eardleym’ Eardley, both moved into the top 100 for the first time. Aruajo, the #14-ranked player in Brazil, went from #106 to #84 while Eardley, who is #10 in the United Kingdom, went from #121 to #95.
