Every week The PocketFives Milestone Report looks at the online poker players who are achieving career-best achievement or reaching new heights in the rankings

Kenny Hallaert Stays Hot

It seems that Kenny Hallaert really can do no wrong these days. Less than a month after making yet another deep run in the 2017 World Series of Poker Main Event, Hallaert returned to the online poker world and immediately went to work.

This past week Hallaert took down three tournaments on three different sites to claim the second PocketFives Triple Crown of his career. The first two legs of this Triple Crown came on Tuesday, Aug. 1 when he took down the $1,050 Super Tuesday on PokerStars for $63,162 and the partypoker High Roller for $11,904. Hallaert wrapped up the Triple Crown by taking down the 888poker WHale on Sunday, Aug. 6 for $44,250.

Hallaert’s first Triple Crown came back in April. The Belgian poker player, who doesn’t consider himself a professional, is now ranked #13 in the world.

Another Swede Approaching Top 5 Worldwide

Right now all five of the top five spots in the PocketFives Rankings belong to Swedish players. Those five may have some company soon though as ‘DeathbyQuads‘ continues to move upward in the rankings. This past week he went from #8 to #7 based off of three big scores that earned him a total of 586.8 points.

He wasn’t the only player to achieve a career-high ranking this past week. Hallaert’s move from #19 to #13 is also a career best. Russia’s ‘papan9_p$‘ moved to #30 while ‘funwheel‘ jumped from #43 to #40.

Two players, Carlos Felipe Difini and ‘sinkedshrimp‘, both moved into the top 100 for the first time in their career.
