$5M in Earnings for Sam Grafton

Last week, Sam ‘TheSquid’ Grafton took down the Big $55 on PokerStars for $17,762. While the win was nice, that $17K actually moved the popular British pro past $5 million in lifetime earnings. Only eight players from the U.K. have managed to hit that number, lead by all-time earnings leader Chris Moorman.

Grafton, who peaked at #40 in the worldwide rankings, now sits at #66 in the world and #5 in the United Kingdom.

Two More Join the $3 Million Club

In the history of PocketFives, just 332 players have managed to hit $3,000,000 in lifetime earnings. Two new players joined that elite group this past week. Christopher ‘cswami’ Nathan and Wesley ‘ZeelandBoy’ Wiemes both managed to break through. Nathan got there thanks to a series of smaller cashes on PokerStars while Wiemes did it in more dramatic fashion, finishing third in the PokerStars NLHE Sunday Grand for just over $25,000.

Akash ‘funwheel‘ Majumdar Hits Career High Ranking

There are just 24 ranked online poker players in Bangladesh and Akash ‘funwheel‘ Majumdar sits on top of all them. He picked up 356 PLB points this week thanks to three qualifying cashes on partypoker.

Other players hitting career-high rankings inside the top 100 included Andrey ‘drupalucker’ Chernokoz (#55), Carlos Felipe Difini from (#80), ‘pandodora’ (#88), ‘paul_peaches’ (#90), Leonardo Centenaro ‘Lforoni’ Foroni (#94), and Jonathan ‘jonzstars’ Rosa (#96).
