The $9 Million Club Picks Up Two More Members

Sweden’s Andreas ‘r4ndomr4gs’ Berggren and Canada’s Ami ‘UhhMee’ Barer both hit the milestone over the last two weeks.Berggren, who is also a former #1-ranked player, has had a number of big cashes in his career, but the one that put him over the $9M mark was just a $204 score thanks to a 243rd place finish in the PokerStars Mini Super Tuesday. Barer also had a small cash push him into rare air. He finished 181st in the PokerStars $22 Double Deuce for $90.75.

The #2-ranked player in Lebanon, Nicolas ‘niccc’ Chouity, broke through the $4 million earnings mark while ‘carpediem200‘, Mikael ‘therealfuddebuf’ Viuff Hansen, ‘MiracleQ’ and Jerry ‘perrymejsen’ Odeen all hit $3 million.

Three Brazilians Make Top 100 Debuts

Three players managed to make their debuts in the Top 100 of the PocketFives Rankings and to the surprise of almost nobody, all three call Brazil home.

Marcelo ‘bettoBR’ Betto showed up at #99, Renato ‘renaton’ Nomura debuted at #98 and Matheus ‘M Cunha G’ Cunha moved all the way up to #84.

Britain’s ‘carpediem200’ On Verge of Top 25

The Brazilian trio weren’t the only ones to enjoy career-high rankings recently. Seven other players inside of the Top 100 managed to move up to new heights. Britain’s ‘carpediem200‘ went from #62 in the world to #33 thanks to his huge win in the opening World Championship of Online Poker event.
