With just over two months before the start of the 2014 WSOP, the battle for satellite seats is heating up, with many players trying to win multiple seats. These seats have no cash value and are not transferable, but offer entry to some of the most exciting events of this year’s World Series of Poker.

In Nevada this week, WSOP.com ran three of its four $3,000 events as scheduled. On Wednesday, the site ran a special satellite for two $1,500 seats to the 2014 WSOP. All of the events exceeded the guarantees. There were 227 runners with a total prize pool of 17,050 and 31 spots being paid.

The player with the highest cash win was AK1688 with a payout of $1,537 for taking down Thursday night’s event.

Two players, MrBeaumont and jdcandidate, each won $1,500 seats to an upcoming WSOP event. Not being satisfied with one seat, MrBeaumont won another $1,500 WSOP seat by taking down the $5.50 R&A Satellite on Wednesday as well.

This week, Ultimate Poker held four tournaments, the $2,500 Nightly events. There were 115 runners generating a prize pool of $13,286 and paying a total of 18 spots. The highest cash this week went to AmazingAK47 for taking down Thursday night’s event for $1,494.67. This was the first time that AmazingAK47 has been seen at a final table in the $2,500 events. Not a bad way to make a debut.

Players on Ultimate Poker that are hot or heating up are luckisreal, Sundae420, and allprowi (Iamtheflower on PocketFives).
