The $25,000 Heads-Up Championship at the 2011 World Series of Poker (WSOP) has seen its starting grid of 128 slashed all the way down to four. Members of the online poker community stand a relatively high chance of walking away with a bracelet, as Jake neverbluff67Cody, Eric EFroFroehlich, and Yevgeniy Jovial Gent Timoshenko (pictured) all survived to the Final Four, which will play out this afternoon from the Rio in Las Vegas.

We’ve even posted a Facebook poll asking readers who they think will win it all today.

Cody defeated Anthony Tuff_Fish Guetti after his pocket tens held against Guetti’s pocket sevens. The board came J-K-9-3-6, no help to either player, and Cody advanced to face Full Tilt Pokerpro Gus Hansen in the semifinals of the second WSOP bracelet event of 2011.

Codyhas more than $500,000 in tracked cashes on PocketFives.com and hails from the United Kingdom. He’s tops in the city of Manchester in the Sortable Rankings, and his largest online score to date, worth $198,000, came by virtue of taking second in a Full Tilt Online Poker Series event back in 2009. In the final months of 2010, Cody won both the Full Tilt Poker $75,000 Super Turbo Guarantee and the site’s $100 Rebuy for a combined $33,000.

Froehlich (pictured), meanwhile, punched his ticket to the Final Four of the WSOP’s $25,000 Heads-Up Championship after Russia’s Nikolay Evdakov moved all-in on a board reading 6-10-2-Q with two hearts. After receiving a call from Froehlich, Evdakov showed A-Q for top pair, while Froehlich flipped up Q-6 for two pair. No ace or ten came on the river to save the day for Evdakov, and Froehlich will play Timoshenko in today’s semifinals.

Froehlich’s live poker rap sheet includes a March final table in the Main Event of the Wynn Poker Classic for $51,000 and a fourth place finish in the World Poker Tour’s (WPT) Foxwoods World Poker Finals in 2009 for $232,000. In 2006, Froehlich burst onto the live poker scene with a pair of WSOP bracelets, which came in a $1,500 Limit Hold’em tournament and a $1,500 Pot Limit Omaha with Rebuys event.

Timoshenkowas the first player from the Elite Eight to reach the round of four on Thursday. David Paredes ran A-6 into A-10 on his final hand. The flop came 7-J-4, all diamonds, giving Paredes a flush draw, but the deuce of hearts and queen of clubs filled out the board and Timoshenko advanced.

Timoshenko won the 2009 WPT Championship for a cool $2.1 million. He finished second in the PartyPokerWorld Open for $110,000 last September and won the 2007 Irish Open in Dublin for $166,000. Online, Timoshenko took down the 2009 PokerStars World Championship of Online Poker Main Event for $1.7 million. Needless to say, he’s had a mountain of success in the poker world.

Timoshenko has never finished better than 14th in a WSOP tournament in Las Vegas, a trend that will end today. In 2009, he drove deep in the $10,000 Heads-Up Championship and collected $38,000.
