This week’s Podcast features interviews with Corwin Mackey (Mig.com, PocketFives.com Online Tournament Player Ranking #15) and Justin Truesdell (Truesyalose, 2005 Presto Award Winner for Most Improved Player).

Corwin Mackey, known as Mig.com/Mig.net/Mig.org in the Online Poker world, is a young and talented online tournament player who got his start at micro-level cash games. After making a couple of $75 deposits, Corwin eventually moved his way up to the $5/$10 No-Limit Holdem online tables, where the maximum buy-in is $1,000 per table. Many would consider this a huge amount of success, but Mig.com made a permanent switch to tournament play and currently plays 8-12 tables at a time. His biggest score was $37,000 in one of the ParadisePoker.com Sunday major tournaments.

Our second guest, Justin “Truesyalose” Truesdell captured the 2005 Most Improved Player Award here on PocketFives.com after making several big cashes in major tournaments, including the Bodog $100k guaranteed. Justin is a laid-back University of Kentucky fan who just happened to be wandering around in Vegas when we talked to him. Truesyalose sticks to a rigorous vacation routine, switching hotels almost daily to enjoy the different sights of The Strip.

Both guests come across as well-rounded individuals who have a very reasonable approach to the game of poker. You’ll hear both of them talk about the advantages that online poker provides the upstart player looking to improve his/her game. You’ll also hear Justin try his hand at singing “My Old Kentucky Home”… a treat that our listeners won’t want to miss.
