This week’s Podcast welcomes Online Tournament player Rick ‘Wachovia’ Velilla and poker instructor David ‘Seal’ Eisenstein as its featured guests.

Rick Velilla (known in the Online poker world as “Wachovia”) is a 44-year-old construction company owner by day who supplements his income as an Online Tournament pro in the evenings. A resident of South Carolina, Wachovia had more than enough MTT victories in 2005 to place him among the elite tournament players in the world.

However, 2006 was not fairing that well for Rick, and many of his colleagues began questioning whether or not he still “had it”. After a miserable first half of 2006 that saw him steadily move down the rankings, Wachovia stuck with his game amid criticism by some of Online Poker’s top players.

Earlier this month, Wachovia captured the PocketFives.com Triple Crown, having WON 3 Multi-Table-Tournaments with prize pools of over $10,000 on 3 different sites, a feat achieved by very few players in the history of Online Poker. Rick’s recent success serves as a reminder that even the greatest players in the game are subject long streaks without success. As Wachovia told us in our Podcast interview, it’s not the sprint that matters in poker – it’s the marathon.

Our second guest on this week’s show hails from the state of New Jersey, where he is an elementary school teacher who moonlights as an online poker instructor. David ‘Seal’ Eisenstein is the lead Omaha instructor at www.RealPokerTraining.com, a website dedicated to providing insights into online poker tournament and cash game play through the use of articles and videos.

Wachovia and Seal are two of the most pleasant personalities you’ll find in the game today, and both profess/advise a similar game theory when it comes to No-Limit Texas Hold ’em.
