Over the weekend, PokerStarsran a special Ninth Anniversary Sunday Million and the response was overwhelming. Over 50,000 entrants showed up, driving the prize pool north of $10 million. The tournament clocked in as the eighth richest in online poker history, trailing only five World Championship of Online Poker Main Events and two previous Sunday Million special anniversary tournaments.

As you might expect from a tournament with a $10 million prize pool, a deal was struck seven-handed. Here’s how it went down, according to PokerStars: “In a heads-up battle that swung back and forth, BRAYDEN93 was able to overcome a big chip deficit to claim the extra $100,000 that was set aside for the winner. However, as a result of a seven-handed deal, runner-up kelly_koulis from Greece emerged as the biggest winner, pocketing $725,267. Eight countries were represented at the nine-handed final table, with the top eight players each pocketing a six-figure sum.”

The tournament ran for over 15 hours and ended with PocketFiver BRAYD3N taking it down. He calls Mexico home and blew away his previous largest tracked cash to date, a win in the Sunday Second Chance in 2013 for $48,000. He will officially be over $1 million in online winnings when the results of the Sunday Million are incorporated into his profile.

Bulgarian PocketFiver Mozak finished in fourth place for $542,000 after the deal. He had already passed $1.1 million in online tournament winnings prior to the weekend and finished second in the Sunday Million four years ago for $153,000. He won the Sunday 500 and took third in an FTOPS event, both in 2012, for $73,000 and $93,000, respectively.

The final member of PocketFives to take part in the Sunday Million deal was modzillapl, who lives in Vancouver. He banked $336,000 and finished in seventh place. Here’s how the final table cashed out:
