There’s a reason that Zackattak13is in the top 10 of the PocketFives.com Online Poker Rankings. After all, he’s procured just about every profile badge we have. His latest came as a result of winning the February Monthly PLBtitle along with his second Triple Crown. He’s currently ranked #9 worldwide and has over $2 million in online poker earnings to date. Now that we’ve gotten his vital stats out of the way, let’s get his thoughts on his recent hot streak.
His Triple Crown wins were quite substantial. He started out of the gate by winning the Full Tilt Poker $100 Rebuyfor $13,000 and a cool 221 PLB Points along with the UB.com $50,000 Guaranteefor $17,000 and another 240 points. Then, it was another UB.com win. This time, he took down the $75,000 Guarantee for nearly $20,000.

Five days after his first Triple Crown tournament win, his journey came to an end on PokerStars, where he blasted through the field of the $70,000 Guarantee Weekly Turbo for $15,000.

All told, he amassed nearly 750 PLB Points during his Triple Crown, the second highest tally of anyone in 2011. He packed in 3,500 PLB Points during the year’s shortest month and has ascended to the top 10 in the Rankings.

On his recent wave of profits, Zackattak13 told PocketFives.com, “I do well in small field, high-stakes tournaments. There is more post-flop play and there are more regs to exploit. I definitely am a high-volume player, but I like to mix it up when I play. When I play, I play a lot; otherwise, I take weeks and even months off.”

He hasn’t slowed down either. Last month, Zackattak13 final tabled the Full Tilt Poker $1 Million Guarantee for over $50,000.

When we talked to the dual Triple Crown winner, he sat at #16 worldwide in the Rankings and was on the verge of cracking the top 10. Sustaining his high ranking could be a challenge, however.

He admitted that volume might be hard to come by in the coming months due to his growing live tournament schedule: “I’ll definitely be playing live at the WSOP in a bunch of events, but until then, I’ll still get volume in, especially in May for SCOOP. I plan on playing a lot then.”

When February came to a close, Zackattack13 cooled down by taking a two-week break. He can easily identify when he needs a respite from the poker grind: “I like to play when it’s going well, but I hate being burnt out, so I just know when I need a break.” His vacation led him to the West Coast of the United States, far away from his home in New York City.

He told us that his favorite poker moment from February was a two-day stretch on the 20th and 21st of the month. We’ll go ahead and list off several of his accomplishments during that 48-hour period:

Full Tilt Multi-Fifty: Second place for $25,000
UB.com $75,000 Guarantee: First place for $19,000
UB.com $50,000 Guarantee: First place for $17,000
Full Tilt $100 Rebuy: First place for $13,000
Full Tilt $100 Cubed: Second place for $8,100
Full Tilt Turbo $50,000 Guarantee: Fourth place for $5,000

All told, he recorded 23 in the money finishes over those two days for $97,000 total. It only takes one word to sum up that run: wow.

Zackattak13 wanted to thank his family and friends for their overarching support: “Thanks to my pops for being my biggest fan, my mom for understanding I’m good at this even though she doesn’t get the game, my sister for her support, and all of my friends who hear me bitch on a daily basis about it.”
