Thursday’s schedule for the inaugural PokerStars Pennsylvania Championship of Online Poker included three events with the Thursday Thrill SE PKO taking the top position on the marquee. That event drew 249 entries from within Pennsylvania borders with the final two players chopping up nearly $9,000 in prize money while one of the other events fell just a few players short of making the guarantee.

Thursday Thrill Gets Chopped Up

‘ATCJKoff‘ and ‘Run1tUp12‘ each took home $4,383.85 after making a heads-up deal in Event #17 ($200 Thursday Thrill SE PKO). ‘ATCKJoff’ earned an additional $5,979.53 in bounties after finishing in first place. ‘Run1tUp12’ added $#1,450.38 in bounties. Third-place finisher ‘FloptimusPrime1‘ ended up with $2,817.52 from the prize pool and $383.63 worth of bounties.

The 249-player field pushed the prize pool to $46,314 to beat the $40,000 guarantee.

Overlay #2 as Rebuy Madness Falls Short

For just the second time in 18 tournaments, a PACOOP event missed out on the guarantee. Event #18 ($50 No Limit Hold’em w/rebuys) had a 208-player field that added 174 re-buys and another 55 add-ons to bring the total entries to 437 – just $116.50 short of the $20,000 guarantee to join Event #13 ($150 No Limit Hold’em w/Escalating Antes) as the only events with an overlay to date.

This one also came down to a deal. ‘Allin1out‘ and ‘luap215‘ made a deal heads-up that saw ‘Allin1out’ and ‘luap215’ guarantee themselves $3,768.01 and $3,122.05 respectively. They left $500 to play for and ‘Allin1out’ claimed that after eliminating ‘luap215’ in second place. ‘Turniptruck39‘ secured a $2,285.76 score for finishing in third-place.

’bouttime2019′ Denies ‘Jesushadgr8abs’ Second PACOOP Win

Through 18 events, no player has managed to capture a second PACOOP title. On Thursday, ‘Jesushadgr8abs’ was heads-up with a chance to become the first two-time champ but was ultimately denied by ’bouttime2019′ who topped the 176-entry field to win $3,253.11. ‘Jesushadgr8abs’ had to settle for a $2,479.24 payday. Third-place finisher ‘Run_good_gringo’ came in third spot for $1,889.55.
