Starting at the beginning of the day GMT on February 1st, you’ll want to head to PartyPoker, one of the world’s largest online poker rooms. The beginning of February will usher in a $1,000 PocketFives Leaderboard, or PLB competition, that will send the top 10 players to a special 10-man sit and go. Everyone who makes the sit and go will take home a prize and it’s quite easy to get signed up. Let’s take a look at this contest, which will run for all 29 days of February.

In order to play, add your PartyPoker name to your PocketFives profile and then click here to opt in. We’ve had nearly 100 players do so already and cordially invite you throw your hat into the ring. Your place on the competition’s leaderboard depends on your performance in scheduled multi-table tournaments with at least a $1 buy-in, at least $500 in the prize pool, and at least 75 players.

This PLB competitionvaries from other ones we’ve run in that the qualifying tournament buy-in is capped at $11, so only scheduled MTTs with buy-ins of $11 or below will be tracked. This gives players of all bankrolls the ability to participate and we’re pleased to hold a promotion geared toward players of all bankrolls. Remember that in order to play, you need to opt in.

When the bell tolls on February, the top 10 players on the leaderboard will qualify for a 10-man sit and go that will take place on PartyPoker on Wednesday, March 7th at 14:30 ET. So, if you’re planning to partake in our promotion, make sure your schedule is open that day. The top finisher in the sit and go will bank $500, while second place will take home $300 and third place will collect $200. The fourth through tenth place players in the sit and go will pick up 50 PartyPoker Tournament Dollars.

As an important side note, your PartyPoker account does not have to be tracked to PocketFives in order to enter. However, if you don’t already have an account, you can support PocketFives and get a 100% up to $500 deposit bonus by signing up through our links. In addition, we’ll ship you one free month of PocketFives Training with the sign-up fee waived, a $65 value. PocketFives Training offers some of the top MTT training in the industry and we’ll let you test drive it for a month on our dime.

Remember, only scheduled MTTs that meet our regular Poker Rankings criteria and have a buy-in of $11 or less count for this competition. So, if you play in the site’s $215 weekly major, for example, your results won’t count for the purposes of this promotion. The action ends at 23:59 GMT on February 29th. Note that 2012 is a leap year, so you’ll get a whole extra day of grinding in as you vie for a slice of $1,000 in cash along with a total of 350 PartyPoker Tournament Dollars.

If you change your PartyPoker user name for any reason, you’ll need to opt back into the contest. If you have any questions about our February PLB competition or are having trouble entering your PartyPoker screen name into your profile, e-mail us at support@pocketfives.com and we’ll be happy to help.

While you’re grinding away on PartyPoker in February, you can also take advantage of PartyPoker’s Card Rush Instant Win promotion, which returns February 1st. The site will dish out 1.8 million cards this time around, with prizes that include Party Points, cash, freeroll entries, and Card Rush Race Points.
