partypoker MILLIONS UK Features £5M Main Event Guarantee
The partypoker LIVE MILLIONS UK festival is ramping up as the tour stops at the Dusk Till Dawn, Nottingham from September 29 through October 7.
The 9-day festival features five major events, a £5 million Main Event ($6.5 million USD) and a total of £8.5 million in total guaranteed prize pools over the course of the week.
A MILLIONS Main
The partypoker MILLIONS Main Event continues to be one of the biggest draws in live poker. The structure features three starting flights, the ability for a single re-entry per day, and the option to build a larger stack on multiple days. While the tournament’s structure and flexibility are enjoyed by players, it’s really the prize pool that has poker professionals traveling from all over the world to play. It’s big enough to change someone’s life and make them a millionaire.
In addition to the Main Event, the festival will again bring out the high roller crowd with both a £25,000 and a £10,000 high roller event. Then bookending the entire affair is a £1,100 and a £550 allowing players on more of a budget to get in on the action.
Looking Back
It’s been over a year since the official partypoker MILLIONS tournament was last held at Nottingham’s Dusk Till Dawn but it is not an event that was soon forgotten. The poker world watched as Argentia’s Maria Lampropulos dramatically won her first million-dollar score in a star-making performance. She battled through a tough final table field that included US Poker Open Champion Stephen Chidwick and local favorite, runner-up Jacob Mulhern. Mulhern was playing in the biggest tournament of his career and, like Lampropulous, went on to earn a career-high cash of over $815,000.
Season Two Success
partypoker MILLIONS UK hopes to continues the successes seen thus far in Season 2. The first event of the official second season took place in April with the MILLIONS North America event. Taking place at the popular Playground Poker Club in Montreal, Canada the Main Event event offered over a $7.5 million prize pool, the bulk of which was won by Taylor Black who took home a career-high cash of $1,093,425.
August in Sochi, Russia saw 692 players enter the Main Event helping create a prize pool of over $4.5 million. partypoker watched as their own ambassador Anatoly Filatov rose to the occasion and, in his home country, won the $944,000 first place prize.
Though both events brought out large fields, both events also had a small amount of overlay as partypoker has continued their commitment to trying to grow their brand with large, player-friendly guarantees.
The $100K Last Longer
The first 100 players who register for the MILLIONS UK Main Event using their own PP LIVE $$$ will be entered into a last longer for the tournament, the winner of which will win an extra $100,00. The proprietary currency is won online in partypoker satellites and can be used for a variety of tournament expenses including the buy-in, lodging, and travel.

The number of qualifiers, both live and online, is what continues to make MILLIONS events a great value. Up to 170 seats will be guaranteed in live satellites at Dusk Till Dawn Nottingham. Also, players can grind online for a seat into the tournament starting for as little as $3.30.
