partypoker brings it's MILLIONS brand to the King's Casino in Rozvadov for a €5 million guaranteed Main Event.

partypokerLIVE is prepared to hold their first major event of 2018 when their branded MILLIONS series arrives on February 8 in Rozvadov for the MILLIONS Germany poker series.

The 11-day festival, which comes with over €12.5 million in guarantees over nine events, will be taking place at Leon Tsoukernik’s King’s Casino. Even though the famous poker palace is technically is in Czechia, it’s close enough to the border for the event to still be promoted as taking place in Germany.

The Main Event

The featured event of the series is the mammoth €5,300 Main Event that carries with it a €5,000,000 guarantee. To help them reach the hefty guarantee, the event will hold four starting flights, beginning on February 14, and each one will allow players a single re-entry. The structure moves swiftly for a €5k, with 40-minute levels on Day 1 then increasing to hour-long levels thereafter. Also, for players who like to shuffle chips, there’s plenty to be had as each starting stack is 1,000,000. While that sounds like a lot, level one starts at 5k/10k making starting stacks a mere 100 big blinds deep. The tournament is also using the button ante system for antes, hopefully helping the speed of play, allowing more hands per level.

Keeping An Eye On The Prize

To exceed the ambitious guarantee, partypoker will need at least 1000 entries over the four starting flights. While there are ample opportunities for players to blast off and re-enter, they may find that there are a finite number of players who will be willing and able to fire multiple bullets into a 5k.

The previous MILLIONS event to offer a similar guarantee was the partypoker Caribbean Poker Party, won by Canadian Sam Greenwood, which exceeded the guarantee by just over $32,000. Just prior to that, the partypoker MILLIONS Russia Main Event missed the mark by $150,000. So many in the industry will be keeping their eyes on the number of runners that make it out to this one.

The numbers from the most recent World Series of Poker Europe are certainly promising for the MILLION Germany Main Event. While not a perfect comparison, the €10,350 Main Event for WSOPE, held in the very same room, did fetch 529 runners, creating a prize pool above the €5,000,000 mark.

Certainly, satellites will help put players in seats and partypoker has plenty to offer for those looking to win their way in. Online satellites start at $0.50 with steps at the $22, $109 and eventually the $530 level where 10 seats are guaranteed, three times a week.

King’s Casino will also be holding two Mega Satellites into the Main Event, both on February 13. Each of the €550 Megas comes with a 50 seat guarantee and both have unlimited re-entry.

Tons Of Tournaments

In fact, the action all week should be fast-paced. Nine total events are on the schedule starting off with the €500,000 GTD Grand Prix. This €220 event boasts four online starting days and five live starting flights. The tournament will merge on Day 2, February 10, the same day that both a €1,000 and the €25,000 Super High Roller get started. Other events on the schedule include a €10,000 High Roller and what will likely draw the most attention of the series, the €50,000 Super High Roller.

In addition to large amounts of winnings available in the variety of prize pools, partypoker is offering ten free $5,300 seats to the massive $20 million guaranteed MILLIONS Online tournament to the top ten finishers in the Main Event. The online tournament, hoping to have the largest prize pool in online history, is set to run from December 1-4 2018.

High Stakes Cash Games

In addition to the 24/7 cash games that accompany the tournaments, partypoker is running their televised high stakes cash game, The Big Game. The €50/€100 No Limit Hold’em game will run for 36 hours straight and saddling up to the table will be some of the biggest names in the game. partypoker ambassador Sam Trickett will be joined by bombastic Lithuanian politician Tony G, the owner of popular UK cardroom Dusk till Dawn, Rob Yong, Team partypoker’s mustachioed Phillip Gruissem as well as online superstar Viktor ‘Isildur1’ Blom.

All of the action is set to be live-streamed from 6 pm (Noon ET) February 10 until 6 am February 12 (Midnight ET) on partypoker TV.

MILLIONS Germany is the final event in a successful inaugural season of the MILLIONS tour. The next and final stop for Season One will be the Grand Final in Barcelona in April.
