partypokerLIVE North America Ready to Take Over Montreal
After a successful stop in Russia last month in Sochi and a record-breaking event at Dusk Till Dawn in England, partypokerLIVE is heading to North America. The partypokerLIVE MILLION North America stop takes place at the Playground Poker Club in Montreal from April 30 – May 10.
The 11-day poker festival’s main attraction is the No Limit Hold’em main event that features a $5,000,000 guaranteed prize pool. Players can play Phase 1 for $550 or buy directly into one of the two Day 1’s for $5,300. For those who try to qualify via any of the five Phase 1’s, those fields will play down to 10% of the field and the survivors will move on to Day 1.
Players who buy directly into Day 1 will receive 1,000,000 in tournament chips and blinds will start at 2,500/5,000 with a 500 ante. Those who made it through Phase 1 will take their stacks with them to the first day of action.

The other high-stakes event for the series is the $10,000 No Limit Hold’em High Roller event. It is a two-day event that carries a $500,000 guaranteed priz epool. It is scheduled to start on the same day as the final of the five Phase 1’s and will conclude on Day 1A of the main event. The scheduling allows players to participate in both the main event and the high roller.
Other events on the schedule include a $330 No Limit Hold’em survivor with a $30,000 guaranteed prize pool, a $2,500 No Limit Hold’em second chance with a $150,000 guaranteed prize pool, a $330 No Limit Hold’em eight-max with a $40,000 guaranteed prize pool and a $1,100 no limit hold’em 50/50 bounty with a $60,000 guaranteed prize pool.
The only non-No Limit Hold’em events on the schedule are $330 Five-Card Pot Limit Omaha and a $220 Pot Limit Omaha 50/50 bounty event.
Playground Poker Club
The Playground Poker Club is one of Canada’s premier poker venues. Located 20 minutes outside of downtown Montreal, there are plenty of sights to see if players want to take a break from grinding it out on the felt. Players coming from outside of Canada will need to bring a passport and all players must be at least 18 years old to participate.
Players are encouraged to stay at the Westin Montreal, the W Montreal, the Hyatt Regency Montreal, the Loews Hotel Vogue Montreal, or the L Hotel Montreal.
Outside of the extensive tournament schedule, there will be plenty of cash game action spread throughout the room of varying stakes. There is No Limit Hold’em varying from $1/$2 all the way up to $10/$25 and Pot Limit Omaha from $1/$2 up to $5/$10. There are higher stakes games available in private High Stakes rooms.
