The opening day of the first-ever PokerStars Pennsylvania Spring Championship of Online Poker included three events at the High and Low levels and guaranteed prize pool amounts that were never in doubt.

The opening event, Event #1-H ($100 Nightly Stars NLHE) had a $50,000 guarantee but the 1,117 entries put the final prize pool at $102,540.60. Beating all 1,116 of the other entries earned ‘smm570‘ the PASCOOP title and $16,638.29. Runner-up ‘NARDOELS‘ walked away with $11,962.70 while ‘5BETCHET‘ had to settle for $8,601.27.

The Low version of the same event, Event #1-L ($10 PASCOOP Warm-Up) had 2,697 runners with ‘billsmafiaSMASH‘ shipping it for $3,920.60.

The second event on the slate, Event #2-H ($50 No Limit Hold’em) drew 1,189 entries to build a $54,099.50 prize pool, beating the $35,000 guarantee. ‘liftship‘ earned $8,551.65 for winning it while ‘BluffaloBlue‘ earned $6,148.08 as the runner-up. Third place finisher ‘TShark666‘ walke away with $4,420.52.

‘30-06-54‘ beat the 1,790 entries in Event #2-L ($5 No Limit Hold’em) to win a PASCOOP title and $1,227.55.

The final event on the opening day schedule was Event #3-H ($200 Six Max NLHE Turbo PKO). The 264-player field created a $49,104 prize pool which was nearly double the $25,000 guarantee. ‘StraightButter‘ was smooth enough to win it all, earning $3,999.42 from the prize pool and $5,329.28 in bounties. The final bounty collected belonged to ‘wongsic‘ who won $3,999.42 and $5,329.28 worth of bounties as the runner-up while ‘waynefish830‘ grabbed $3,999.21 and $2,138.26 in bounties for coming in third place.

‘TheBigSlick74‘ won $1,616.83 and collected $1,722.49 worth of bounties for topping the 1,356 entries in Event #3-L ($20 Six Max NLHE Turbo PKO).
