PhatCat and the Bunny Rabbit
This week’s Podcast features interviews with Shawn Luman (PhatCat, PocketFives.com Online Tournament Player Ranking #3) and Jeff Gray (jeffbeesdat, PocketFives.com Online Tournament Player Ranking #89).
Shawn Luman hails from the State of Kansas, where he works as the Chief Financial Officer of a small firm. When he gets off work, he goes home and unwinds by (a) spending time with his wife & son, and (b) by playing Online Poker. Most top-ranked online tournament players admit that the life of a dedicated poker player is a stressful one. However, PhatCat says he sees poker more as a “stress reliever”.
Our second guest has gambling in his blood, so to speak. Jeff Gray was introduced to cards at a very young age. His great/great uncle was a professional poker player, and his father played a lot of cards while in grad school. “Jeffbeesdat” has written several well-received articles here on PocketFives.com, and expresses a deep gratitude to the online poker community and P5’s in general for his success at the tables.
Jeff also shows a softer side during this week’s interview, where he openly discusses a relationship that didn’t work out. Ironically, a pet bunny has become a close companion to this online star. When the microphones were turned off, “jeffbeesdat” bragged a bit about how the bunny can even do tricks?! We’ll have to take his word for it.
