Swedes continue to dominate the top of the PocketFives Rankings. Four of the top five players in the world are from Sweden, yet it’s the lone non-Swede who made waves last week, sending him to #4 worldwide.

Russia’s Artem ‘veeea’ Vezhenkov moved up six spots in the rankings this week to #4. He was ranked #1 on PocketFives as recently as February 10 and now finds himself with 6,934 PLB Points. That’s only 363 points off first place.

Last week, Vezhenkov traveled to Macau from Birma, but still managed to find time to win the PokerStars $215 No Limit Hold’em Turbo for $6,400 and 172 PLB Points. Eight days ago, he bolstered his PLB score by taking down the PokerStars Super Tuesday for almost $100,000 officially, defeating a 491-player field and recording his third largest online poker score to date.

Vezhenkov passed $5 million in career online winnings nine days ago. He was the second player to do so this month and just the fourth person this year.

Sweden’s ‘C Darwin2‘ is once again #1 worldwide. He has been the top dog on PocketFives since February 10 and turned in a productive Sunday on PokerStars.fr, winning the site’s Sunday Supersonic and Sunday High Roller for $15,000 combined. He took down the PokerStars $109 No Limit Hold’em Cubed one day before that for $5,600, bringing his career win total to 55.

‘C Darwin2’ calls Stockholm home and has 2,090 career in the money finishes, along with an average cash of $1,800. He leads the second place player in the rankings, ‘lena900‘, by just 23 points.

Outside of the top 10, another Swede shot his way up the leaderboard. Dennis ‘DBerglin’ Berglin moved up from #44 to #28, or 16 spots, after taking second in a partypoker Powerfest event over the weekend for $55,000. That tournament had a buy-in of $530 and attracted almost 800 entrants, resulting in Berglin’s largest online poker score ever.

Rhys ‘floppinhel’ Jones reentered the top 100 at #54 in the world, 36 spots off his all-time high set in 2013. Jones won a Six-Max Powerfest event over the weekend for $28,000 and also took down the Big $162 on PokerStars for another $14,000. Those were the 86th and 87th wins of Jones’ career. He has been hitting on all cylinders, as last month he finished sixth in the EPT Dublin Main Event and bagged $134,000, his largest live cash to date.

Three spots behind Jones is Ivan ‘ivanvilchez8’ Vilchez. The Argentinian entered the top 100 this week at #57, his best showing ever, after finishing second in the Powerfest Week 4 Main Event for a healthy $136,000. The $1,050 buy-in tournament had 928 entrants and ended with Vilchez recording his largest cash ever, pushing his career total to $546,000. He is the top-ranked player in Argentina, where he lives in the inland city of Rio Tercero.

Ireland’s Daniel ‘NukeTheFish’ Wilson moved up almost 30 spots from #95 to #68 after winning the partypoker Heavyweight Balboa and PokerStars Hotter $5.50 over the weekend for $6,000 total. He has been a man of volume and finished in the money 19 times on March 20 alone. Wilson is approaching 4,500 tracked scores and is about to hit $2 million in career winnings.

Barry86‘ moved up to #63 from #86 after two wins in the Heavyweight series on partypoker over the last week. He now has 336 top-three finishes over the years and passed $2 million in career winnings on March 4.
