Here’s something you don’t see every day. On Wednesday, the PocketFives Poker Player Rankingswere updated and Nico PokerKaiserFierro (pictured) was #1 for the third consecutive week. However, nipping at his heels is Mike norfair18 Phillips, who is trailing Fierro by one PLB Point. The scores: 7,083.89 to 7,082.70.

Fierro, who is from Chile, has long been a fixture of the PocketFives Rankings and been part of our site since 2007. He won an $82 NLHE Six-Max Hyper-Turbo on PokerStars on Tuesday for $3,800 and 131 PLB Points, along with the site’s $55 NLHE and PokerStars.fr Big €25 on Monday, to keep his top-ranked streak alive.

Meanwhile, Phillips finished third in the Super Sized Sunday over the weekend for $13,000 and 168 PLB Points. A few days before that, he took down the PartyPoker Daily Major and put back $4,800. He just passed $1.5 million in career online tournament winnings and could be ranked #1 as soon as next week.

There were no new entrants in the top 10 worldwide this week, but just outside of the top 10, Canada’s StrungOut1 moved up 49 spots to settle at #14. Entering his screen names was enough to prompt the move, and he took down the PokerStars $55 NLHE Cubed on Tuesday for a little over $2,000.

Also shooting up the Rankings is Aaron aguskb Gustavson (pictured), who rose from #44 to #21. Over the weekend, he finished fifth in the PokerStars Sunday Second Chance for $13,000 and then won a $33 NLHE tournament on PokerStars on Tuesday for $1,200. This is the highest he has ever made it in the Rankings.

Finally this week, we wanted to single out Easylimp, who moved up 59 places to #31 after a red-hot start to April. He won the PokerStars Big $109, took second in the Saturday Super Knockout, final tabled the Full Tilt Sunday Brawl, and won two tournaments on PokerStars.it. His total haul for those five cashes was over $50,000.
