PocketFives Rankings Update: CrownUpGuy New #1

For the second time in his career, CrownUpGuy(pictured) is the #1 ranked player on PocketFives. This time, he moved up four spots on the week thanks to a final table in the PokerStars Sunday Supersonic that was worth $15,000 and 207 PLB Points, the metric used to determine the Rankings.

CrownUpGuy has had an electrifying last 11 months, winning the WCOOP Main Event for $1.8 million, the PokerStars Sunday 500 twice for $150,000 total, and the PokerStars Sunday $109 Rebuy for $54,000. He has been a mainstay of the PocketFives Rankings ever since his WCOOP Main Event win and has $2.8 million in career online tournament winnings. He was last ranked #1 in December.

We could see a changing of the guard when the Rankings are recalculated next week, however, as CrownUpGuy has 7,559 PLB Points, just 17 more than PokerKaiser, who was ranked #1 last week.

Also making waves this week was Canada’s p0cket00 (pictured), another former #1 player on PocketFives. He won the PokerStars Super Tuesday last week for almost $100,000 officially and earned nearly 800 PLB Points. He moved up from #15 in the world on PocketFives to #8 as a result.

One of the biggest jumps of the week inside the top 100 went to romdom, who moved up 40 spots to land at #18, his highest position ever. romdom took down the PokerStars Sunday Warm-Up outright over the weekend and bagged $80,000 along with 730 PLB Points. He’s just a few thousand dollars shy of $3 million for his career.

Finally this week, we wanted to single out Die Ventura, who shot up 42 spots to #45. He won the weekend’s Sunday Supersonic and earned $53,000. He is the top-ranked PocketFiver in Peru and the #45 ranking is his best all-time.
