The PocketFives Rankingswere recalculated on Wednesday and, unlike last week, the top 10 worldwide remained relatively unchanged. Your #1 player in the world is still Anton VnilaVaderHerrmann, who is one of four Swedes in the top seven of the Rankings and won the PokerStars Bigger $55 three days ago for $42,000 to solidify the top spot for the second straight week. Herrmann has about 300 PLB Points more than the second place player in the Rankings.

No player has held onto the top spot for more than four weeks since October.

Outside of the top 10, there was plenty of movement, as Alen lilachaa Bilic (pictured) moved up from #43 worldwide to #20, his highest ranking ever. Bilic has been a rock star over the past six weeks, posting the following wins, among others, since March began:

April 13: 1st Place in the PokerStars Sunday 500 for $79,000
April 20: 1st Place in the iPoker Sunday Special for $33,000
March 8: 1st Place in the PokerStars Big $162 for $21,000
April 9: 1st Place in FTOPS Event #22 for $21,000

Another major jump this week belonged to Steve Illini213Barshak, who moved up from #65 in the world to #39. Barshak won the PokerStars $109 No Limit Hold’em Turbo Cubed three days ago for $21,000 and received his $5 million cash badge on PocketFives on April 14; he is one of only three people to accomplish that feat this year. Barshak has been a member of PocketFives since 2007 and you can follow him on Twitter under the handle @illini213.

Russia’s veeea(pictured), who was ranked as high as #14 in the world last year, is back up to #64 after ascending 35 spots this week. He has seven tracked wins since March 29: the iPoker €5,000 Guaranteed, PartyPokerHigh Roller, PokerStars $109 No Limit Hold’em Turbo Cubed, iPoker €12,500 Guaranteed, Full Tilt Poker $7,000 Guaranteed, and PokerStars $109 No Limit Hold’em Quad (twice).

The highest new player in the top 100 this week was hauptschule, who came in at #73, his best ranking ever. The Germany poker community member has had a rock solid month of April, including victories in the PokerStars $109 Sunday Rebuy, PokerStars.fr €15,000 Guaranteed, and PokerStars Sunday Kickoff for $100,000 total.

Finally, we wanted to single out pmahoney1, who moved up from #136 worldwide to #80. This poker player from Mexico won the PokerStars Big $55 last week for $18,000 and finished third in the site’s Super Tuesday three days before that for $58,000. Also this month, he has won the PokerStars $320 No Limit Hold’em Six-Max, $27 Saturday Eliminator, and Hot $75 for $32,000 combined.
