It was a good week to be Austria’s mindgamer(pictured), who rose 26 spots in the PocketFives Online Poker Player Rankingsto hit #2 worldwide, his highest mark ever. He just a few thousand dollars shy of $3 million in tracked online MTT cashes and took down the PokerStars Double Vision Sunday Million over the weekend for $222,000 after no chop was had. The victory was also worth a colossal 1,219 PLB Points for the Rankings, enough to shoot him up to just shy of the #1 spot.

As you’d expect, mindgamer is the top ranked player in Austria, where he makes his home in Vienna, and plays on Full Tilt Pokerunder the user name Jedi AllStar. He is 28 years of age and has been a card-carrying member of PocketFives for the last six years.

Also climbing high this week was Sweden’s Smeckten, who rose from #13 worldwide to crack the top 10 at #5, his highest position ever. He is the #2 ranked player in Sweden and won the weekend’s High Roller on Winamaxfor a bankroll boost of $15,000. He has seven tracked victories in online MTTs since November 25, bringing his total to 29 for his career. Smeckten is the owner of nearly exactly $1 million in tracked scores on PokerStars, where he plays as Emilohlsson.

Shooting up from #73 in the world to #29 was Poland’s Raaadzio91, who final tabled the PokerStars Double Vision Warm-Up over the weekend for $62,000 officially and 445 PLB Points. He rules the roost in Poland, where he is one of two PocketFivers with PLB scores from the town of Niepolomice (population 8,500).

Canada’s caecilius (pictured) landed at #45 this week, up 41 spots. He is on the cusp of passing $4 million in tracked online poker scores and finished second in the PokerStars Sunday 500 over the weekend for $50,000 officially along with 412 PLB Points. On the same day, he took fifth in the Sunday Mulligan on Full Tilt for another $4,700 and 99 PLB Points. He is the #6 ranked player in Canada and sits at #2 in his hometown of Montreal.

Entering the top 100 of the Worldwide Rankings at #69 this week, his highest position ever, was Argentina’s leopeluca, who has $1.2 million in career winnings. He won the PokerStars Big $109 on the final day of November for $24,000 and took down the site’s Big $162 the month before for $20,000. On Monday, he was the third place finisher in an FTOPS Cubed event and cashed out for $25,000.
