PocketFives Rankings Update: PokerKaiser Reclaims #1 Spot

For the first time since November of last year, Chile’s Nico PokerKaiserFierro (pictured) is the #1 player in the PocketFives Rankings. He swapped spots with Chris Big Huni Hunichen to claim the honors and is ranked #1 for just the second time in his career and the first time since last November.

Fierro won the WinamaxHigh Roller on March 2 for almost $10,000. The same day, he took down the PokerStars.fr Monday Night on Stars for $9,900. He has six wins in the last two weeks and will soon become the seventh PocketFiver ever to hit $7.5 million in online tournament scores.

London’s Vicente Delgado Zamorano, aka vicenfish, reentered the top 10 this week and can be found at #9. He took second in the Big $55 late last month for $11,000 and final tabled the Bigger $152 earlier in the month for about the same amount. Working against him is the fact that he hasn’t won an MTT since November, but he has more than enough volume to make up for it.

Zackattak13rose 21 spots this week to land at #16, seven places off his all-time high set in 2011. He won a $109 Turbo on PokerStars on Tuesday for $10,000 and captured the “W” in the Super Sized Sunday on Full Tilt over the weekend for $16,000. He won four tournaments in the span of two days on February 25 and 26:

Finally, we wanted to single out Portugal’s Edgar Zaureos Oliveira (pictured), who moved up from #73 to #42 in the world thanks to a blockbuster last few weeks during which he won the Big $162, won the Full Tilt Sunday Major, and won the PokerStars $10,000 Guaranteed. He is our top-ranked Portuguese player and is nearing $900,000 in tournament scores.
