PocketFives Rankings: veeea Charges to #4 Worldwide

Don’t look now, but veeea(pictured) is making a charge towards the #1 spot in the PocketFives Rankings. He rose nine spots this week to settle at #4, two off his all-time high. He has been on a tear in recent weeks and finished third in the PartyPoker Sunday Major over the weekend for $12,000.

veeea is up to almost $4.2 million in career online tournament cashes and is the top-ranked player in Uruguay, although he’s formerly from Russia. He won two PocketFives Triple Crowns in March of this year and is about 800 PLB Points shy of becoming the #1 ranked player on PocketFives.

There wasn’t much movement inside the top 10 worldwide this week, so we’ll instead talk about Christopher kid_bramm Brammer (pictured), who was ranked #65 to start the week, but now finds himself at #30. He recently hit $5 million in career online tournament winnings and won last week’s Super Tuesday to the tune of $106,000. It’s hard to believe that was only his fourth largest tracked cash to date.

Also moving up this week was IgorK, who is known in the real world as Simon Ronnow Pedersen. The Dane moved up 29 spots to #40 in the world after winning the PokerStars $215 NLHE Turbo on August 16 for $20,000. The same day, he made the final table of the PartyPoker Sunday Major. This is the highest he has ever been in the PocketFives Rankings.

Finally this week, we wanted to talk about Uruguay’s rph, who reentered the top 100 at #78, the highest debut of anyone this week. His last win came in late July in the Super Tuesday for a commanding $87,000, bringing his career total to almost $3.5 million. He was ranked as high as #26 on PocketFives three years ago.
