PocketFives Rankings: veeea Threatening Top 10

This week in the PocketFives Rankings, veeeamoved up from #30 to #13 after a rock solid showing in recent days. He’s currently seven spots off his all-time high of #6 in the world. He won the PokerStars Sunday Supersonic over the weekend for $51,000 and over 550 PLB Points to help his cause.

To close out March, veeea won 10 tournaments and earned two PocketFives Triple Crowns in the span of 10 days. Accordingly, he is quickly closing in on $4 million in career online tournament winnings. The only question remains is how high he can get in the Rankings, with the first step being cracking the top 10 once again.

For the second straight week, Nico PokerKaiserFierro is the top-ranked PocketFiver and has a PLB score of 7,140 Points. He is the lone person over 7,000 points and won the PartyPoker Daily Major two days ago for $5,500. Fierro received his $7.5 million cash badge on March 28, becoming just the seventh person ever to do so.

Number two worldwide this week belongs to Mexico’s norfair18, who moved up one spot to his highest slotting ever. He finished second in the Super Tuesday last month for $76,000, his third largest career score. In fact, he has turned in two second place finishes and a win in that tournament in the last five months for almost $280,000 total.

Finally this week, we wanted to single out another poker player from Mexico: Blackk. He climbed 61 spots to land at #20 thanks to nine wins since mid-March. He is the #2 player in Mexico behind norfair18 and checks in with $4.5 million in career online tournament winnings.
