PokerStars Celebrating Tournament #900 Million with Carnival of Tournaments
To celebrate the dealing of its 900 millionth online poker tournament, PokerStars, the largest site in the world, is bringing back its popular Carnival of Tournaments. The series last ran when the room was celebrating tournament #800 million and, this time around, the Carnival will feature $2 million in guaranteed prize money and giveaways.
The milestone 900 millionth tournament will take place on Sunday, April 27 at 13:00 ET. It has a $109 buy-in and a $1 million guarantee. A total of $100,000 in additional prizes including cash, tournament tickets, and a live event package will be handed out to hundreds of players at random tables during the first two hours of play, starting 10 minutes in. If you’re looking for Sunday Million tickets, Sunday Kickoff tickets, and Big $55 tickets, among others, take part in the milestone tournament.
As part of the celebration, PokerStars is running $500,000 Golden Sit and Gos that will feature a Big, Bigger, or Biggest prize. Players in Big sit and gos will get their buy-ins back, while players in Bigger and Biggest sit and gos will get two times and five times their buy-in back, respectively. The prize pools will also be doubled, tripled, or multiplied by six.
Also during the Carnival of Poker, the site’s Daily Bigs will feature $2 million in increased guarantees, including a major day on April 27, when, according to PokerStars’ website, “The Daily Bigs tournaments will be renamed ‘Biggest’ and have their guaranteed prize pools tripled.”
By the way, satellites to the 900 millionth tournament are already running and when we checked in on the lobby, there were a scant 42 players signed up for the tournament itself, although that number will increase greatly as April 27 approaches.
