Sami "LarsLuzak1" Kelopuro won the SHR on the final day of POWERFEST

Saturday, September, 15 saw players given one last opportunity to warm-up before a big Sunday of partypoker POWERFEST action got underway with 10 more titles handed out in the High and High Roller events.

Dara ‘SatDoke’ O’Kearney came through a 511 player field to take down the title in Event #87 High: $215 NLHE Mix-Max Deep and bank $19,162. After ‘kael_chobo‘ departed in third place for $10,373, O’Kearney faced a final battle against ‘orud74‘, who just yesterday took the silver medal in Event #83 High. And it was to be the same outcome this time around for ‘orud74’ as they was unable to get the better of the Irishman and exited in second place for $13,826. O’Kearney, who has eight PocketFives Triple Crowns to his name, collected another gold medal and continued to his good run by picking up a partypoker $5,000 tournament ticket on Saturday as well. 

It was also a great day for ‘IEatBears‘ who made three POWERFEST final tables which included victory in Event #88 High Roller: $530 NLHE 6-Max PKO. ‘HungarysHero‘ claimed the bronze medal for $11,115 + $1,410 (in bounties) before ‘bor4eto‘ was the final player to hit the rail and took second place for $15,303 + $3,820. ‘IEatBears’ claimed the final bounty prize in the process and the gold medal for a combined $40,720. 

‘IEatBears‘ then took third place for $13,736 + $715 (in bounties) in Event #89 High Roller: $1,050 NLHE PKO before ‘b0b_z00m‘ and ‘VIP-Grinders‘ went heads-up for the top prize. With both players having collected a significant amount of bounties on their way to the final showdown there was a lot of prize money up for grabs and ultimately ‘b0b_z00m’ took the spoils to bank $27,064 + $29,079 (in bounties). ‘VIP-Grinders’ collected a nice $19,584 + $14,454 as runner-up. 

Russia’s ‘FairPlay373‘ banked over $24,000 after victory in Event #91 High Roller: $530 NLHE 6-Max PKO Fast. ‘IEatBears’ made their third final table appearence of the day after taking fifth place for $2,970 + $1,296 (in bounties). PocketFives #1-ranked ‘Drulitooo‘ then exited in fourth place for $4,034 + $2,547 before ‘Oscar_Legend‘ took the bronze medal for $5,568 + $1,657. ‘que_te_crio‘ was the final to depart after he lost a heads-up battle against ‘FairPlay373’ and took away $7,920 + $3,002 for second place. 

Elsewhere, there were POWERFEST titles for ‘SeT4x4‘, ‘Blocs‘, ‘jessep1nkman‘, ‘bloodflood’, ‘yarik1903‘ and ‘PuMPmySkriLL‘.
