Over the past few weeks, one PocketFiver has been racking up results. He won four major tournaments on UltimateBetin January, and then capped that off with another victory last week. His name: Randal Flowers, known in the online poker scene as RandALLin. Flowers took down the UB $30 rebuy three times, the UB $120+9 bounty tournament, and the Sunday $200,000 guaranteed. The latter netted him $46,000. PocketFives.com sat down with this poker phenomenon to talk about his amazing feat.

Flowers comments on how he feels about taking down five major tournaments recently: “It feels good to put up these kinds of results as a reward for all my hard work I've put into poker. It really gives me a lot of confidence that when I play my ‘A’ game, I can succeed at such a fast rate.” He’s had to work hard short-handed as well, truly exemplifying all-around poker skill: “One thing is that I never had a big stack going into shorthanded play. I am very proud of my timing in picking spots to re-steal and lay down big hands in certain situations that would later lead to a better spot to get aggressive.”

Along the road to victory, Flowers faced several other PocketFivers when down to the wire in tournaments: Annette_15, shaniac, nowapowa, and jeffbeesdat just to name a few. He also played in the Atlantis Resort lobby along with these and other top members of the site: “The most interesting tournaments were the January 7th $120+9 and $30 rebuy. They were both on Day 2 of PCA that I busted out of. I came down to the lobby with everyone and busted out of the earlier Sundays and was still able to focus and play my best after busting out of PCA and all the bigger earlier Sunday tournaments.” Such focus and determination has been a huge part of Flowers’ success.

RandALLin has been playing poker for about three years and has played professionally for the past year. On what motivates him to succeed in online poker, other than the obvious financial benefits: “I'm very competitive and kind of an extremist. Although I am really lazy, when I do choose to do something, I put everything I can into it. So what basically motivates me is I want to be the best and have a successful career.” He has also had a little help from other members of the site: “The players I talk with on a daily basis about all types of situations for hands are what have really shaped my game.”

As is customary during interviews, we wanted to put Flowers in the hot seat and, when asked who the toughest PocketFiver he has run up against was, he responded: “Tmay420 is probably the toughest opponent because he is so good at mixing up his style while still not making any mistakes. I'd like to think my style is similar to him, but he is a very tough opponent to put on a hand in many different situations.” Furthermore, “I really respect just about every top ranked player on PocketFives. The players I truly respect though are players like gobboboy, mig.com, apestyles, and shaniac who all are great players because they use aggression very well to make them tough to play against.”

A big congratulations goes out to Randal “RandALLin” Flowers for his tournament wins over the past few weeks. We look forward to seeing Flowers at many final tables in the future, both on UltimateBet and across the online poker world.
