Make it five months in a row that Bobby ‘bcm4924’ McLawhorn sits atop the Nevada Online Poker Rankins

It’s a new month and the summer is finally behind everybody, but the story is still the same for the Nevada Online Poker Rankings. There wasn’t any movement at all in the top half of the rankings and Bobby ‘bcm4924’ McLawhorn finished atop the leaderboard for the fifth consecutive month.

Over his stretch atop the rankings, McLawhorn was consistently dominant. So dominant, in fact, that he didn’t need a single cash throughout the entire month to keep a safe distance from the rest of the field and remain in the pole position.

Jed ‘JCHAK’ Hoffman didn’t put in much volume either, but still finished in second again and held a sizable lead over ‘Power,’ who finished in third and was the only player in the top five spots to put in a significant amount of volume.

‘Power’ cashed 17 times and won the $3,000 guaranteed nightly no-limit hold’em on WSOP.com for $999, but his biggest cash was his last of the month – a fifth place finish in the $30,000 guarantee The BIG Deal re-entry for $2,490. He had two other four-figure scores to further cement his solid month.

‘CloverSparklesFartShovels’ and Ian ‘APokerJoker2’ Steinman round out the top five in fourth and fifth place, respectively. ‘CloverSparklesFartShovels’ didn’t put in a ton of volume in August, but when he was grinding, he made it count. He won three tournaments, including the $10,000 guaranteed Sunday Reloader for $3,700. He won about $7,000 during the last month of summer.

The two biggest movers in August came in the bottom half of the rankings. Paul ‘PaulDewald’ Dewald moved up two spots to sixth and ‘savannah’ jumped up two spots to eighth.

Dewald followed suit with the majority of the players ahead of him in taking most of the month off, but ‘savannahh’ had a solid month to move up in the rankings. He won the $20,000 guaranteed Weekly Sunday for $5,905, which was the biggest score of any player in the rankings in August.

Jake ‘Wolf_51’ Didonato made his debut in the rankings last month and kept his spot in seventh after Augustn Mark ‘wsopfreezer’ Johns had a brief hiatus from the top 10, but returned to the leaderboard in August, finishing in ninth.

Johns was one of the few who put in a lot of volume. He cashed a whopping 34 times and won four tournaments. The former top ranked player in the state won the $3,000 guarantee nightly no-limit hold’em with rebuys and add-ons for $2,007, which was his biggest cash of the month.

The biggest drop in the rankings rounds out the top 10. ‘DatDude’ dropped three spots to finish August in the 10th spot.

Jarred ‘GodsBigToe’ Gabin was the only player to drop out of the top 10 in August. He dropped two spots in July and continued his downward trend in August.

With the action at the Rio finishing up at the end of July, it’s not a surprise to see a drop in volume in August. With fall upon Nevada, the volume from its to players should pick up in the final four months of the year.
