For the last two weeks Belgium’s ‘girafganger7’ has held down the #1 spot in the PocketFives Rankings, taking advantage of the fact that the talented group of Swedes behind him were cashing World Series of Poker glory in Las Vegas.

Times have changed though. For the second time in the last six weeks, ‘girafganger7’ removed himself from the rankings, allowing every player below him to move up one spot and giving Swedish players control of the top five spots.

Sitting on top is ‘C Darwin2’ for the sixth time in his career. The last time he was #1 was in September of 2016. His move up the rankings one spot comes even though he hasn’t recorded a single online cash since June 25. He has been in Las Vegas playing the WSOP Main Event.

Right behind him – just 56.98 points – is ‘lena900’. He too has been in Las Vegas playing WSOP events and last posted a cash on June 8.

Rounding out the top three is Robin ‘inhoo’ Ylitalo. He’s posted five cashes at the WSOP, plus two at other tournament in Las Vegas, and also managed to get himself online in either Mexico or Canada to grind a Sunday.

Rounding out the top five are ‘Ariados’ and Andreas ‘r4ndomr4gs’ Berggren.

The WSOP Main Event meant a number of players were in Las Vegas and not able to play online. With ‘girafganger7’ removing himself from the rankings every player ranked #2 – #9 moved up a single spot.

The only movement in the top 10 came from another pair of Swedes.

‘Sheater’ moved up from #11 to #9 after winning the partypoker High Roller $125K Guaranteed on July 9 for $24,117 and 353.55 points. The next day he took down a PokerStars $320 buy-in NLHE event for $5,588/113.58.
