Swedish superstar ‘C Darwin2‘ can really do no wrong these days. He won the December PLB. He won the 2017 PLB. He started 2018 as the #1-ranked online poker player in the world and this past week he actually added to his lead.

Thanks to four qualifying cashes over the last seven days, ‘C Darwin2’ now leads #2-ranked Steven ‘SvZff’ van Zadelhoff by 1,610.91 points. ‘C Darwin2’ started the week by winning a $109 buy-in event on PokerStars for $7,251.48 and 200 PLB points. The next day he won another PokerStars tournament, this time with a $535 buy-in, that netted him $12,711.16 and 235.58 points. He picked up $14,477 and 215.84 points in another $535 buy-in event. He capped off the week with a win in the PokerStars Hot $55 for $6,982 and 217.83 points.

van Zadelhoff put in a lighter schedule this week, cashing just nine times with none of them being big enough to earn PLB points.

Andres ‘probirs’ Nemeth jumped from #12 to #4 after picking up four qualifying cashes for 1147.37 points. His biggest score came thanks to his win in the PokerStars $530 Bounty Builder High Roller on Sunday where he picked up $37,528.94 and 477.23 points.

Laszlo ‘omaha4rollz’ Bujtas moved back into the top 25 this week, jumping from #39 to #18. The upward movement came after a week that saw him cash in just four tournaments, but three of them were big enough to add to his PLB total. He won a PokerStars High Roller event on January 5 for $31,611.58 and 414.13 points, then finished ninth in the PokerStars Super High Roller on January 7 for $5,877.29 and 120.26 points. He wrapped up the week by winning the partypoker Super High Roller for $46,529 and 396.86 points.

British grinder Jonathan ‘proudflop’ Proudfoot joined the top 25 for the first time in his career, coming in at #23. Proudfoot had five qualifying cashes this week, including a victory in the partypoker High Roller for $11,817 and 200 points on January 10. All told he picked 759.27 points.
