A career-defining week for 'Romeopro' helped him jettison up the rankings to challenge the #1 ranked 'C Darwin2'

The ongoing dominance of the PocketFives Rankings by ‘C Darwin2‘ appears to have no end in sight. The Swedish superstar has been #1 for all of 2018 and leads #2-ranked ‘hellohellohello‘ by 1,835.74 points – the largest gap between any two consecutive spots inside the top 25.

‘C Darwin2’ picked up two qualifying cashes this past week, both coming with him standing tall at the end of a tournament. The first came in the PokerStars $215 Sunday Supersonic (NL08) when he beat out 243 other players to win $9,651 and pick up 223.52 points. Three days later he topped the 104-player field in the $530 Main Event High Roller on partypoker for $12,019.28 and 228.04 points.

Those two scores helped widen the gap between himself and ‘hellohellohello’ because the Russian only picked up one qualifying cash, finishing fifth in the partypoker $1,000 Sunday Big Bounty Hunter High Roller for $12,818 and 246.74 points.

Another Swede, and former #1-ranked player, ‘lena900‘ holds down the third spot on the podium for another week. He too picked up a pair of qualifying cashes and both were victories within minutes of each other. He won the Omania High Roller and the Hot $215, both on PokerStars, for a combined $20,519 and 447.94 points.

There were no other changes inside of the top seven. Conor ‘1_conor_b_1’ Beresford moved up from #10 to #8 after winning the partypoker Sunday Smooth Bounty Hunter event for $45,153 and 539.44 points. That’s his second largest PLB score ever, trailing only his PokerStars Sunday High Roller win earlier this year. He capped off his week by taking down the PokerStars Big $109 for $8,811 and 222.49 points.

‘kofi89‘ moved up one spot from #11 to #10 despite not picking up any additional points this past week.

There are no new names inside the top 25 this week as the rest of the contenders simply shuffled around in the bottom 15.
