David 'bewater' Goodman continues his run as Nevada's #1.

It’s been an incredible summer for Las Vegas, Nevada resident David ‘bewater’ Goodman. One in which he has skyrocketed to the top of the rankings in Nevada and into the Worldwide top 100. He even cracked the monthly PLB winners list in June.

This past month has been more of the same for Goodman (5,302.44), who continues his reign as the #1 player in Nevada. He continues to hold a lead of over 1700 points from his nearest competition. His results have been so solid, it’s actually hard to imagine a single player from inside the US racking up the scores he’s earned on the volume he’s put in.

Of course, his entire summer campaign was buoyed by his runner-up finish in the World Series of Poker’s $3,200 Online Bracelet event for over $212,000. In addition to that, Goodman managed another pair of five-figure scores when he won the $100,000 GTD Sunday on WSOP.com two weeks apart.

First up, he won the July 16 edition of the tournament for $37,408 and 383.01 PLB points. Then, on July 31 he did it again for another $33,306 and 357.91 PLB points. Goodman only recorded nine scores in the month of July, five of which were PLB point qualifiers. His July total cashes was for more than 286,000 and over 1665 PLB points. For ‘bewater’, currently ranked #84 in the world, it looks as though the heater will continue as he already has three four-figure scores and over $11,000 recorded in the first week of August.

It’s been a month since Bobby ‘bcm4924’ McLawhorn (3,564.34) slipped to the #3 spot and this past July he came back with a vengeance. Not only did McLawhorn rise one spot to #2 in Nevada, he added about 450 PLB points to his total. McLawhorn picked up four first-place finishes out of eight podium finishes.  In total, McLawhorn had 11 four-figure cashes in July as well as a runner-up finish in the $50K Monthly Sunday on WSOP.com for $16,473.

Jed ‘JCHAK’ Hoffman (3,387.14) slips to the #3 spot this month having spent a good deal of the month on his live grind. Online, however, he continued to put in volume in the final two weeks of July. His recent results are highlighted by a second-place finish in the WSOP.com Tuesday Showdown for just under $8,000. Hoffman, continues to stay in contention to return to Nevada’s #1 spot by racking up over 389 PLB points in July.

It’s yet another month in the #4 spot for ‘wsopfreezer’ (2,718.93) who continues to put in a healthy amount of volume. Last month he posted up 55 cashes, in July that number was 58. Fourteen of those cashes were PLB qualifying scores. In total, the Las Vegas grinder cashed for just under $32,000. His efforts have helped him to becoming #766 in the Worldwide Rankings, a career-best for him.

Reno resident ‘Power’ (2,022.70) holds down the #5 spot in Nevada having put in some light low buy-in volume. He did scores a pair of PLB qualifying scores, garnering a little over 62. However, some older scores of his faded away and he finds himself farther away from rising in the ranked as his PLB score slipped about 60 points.

Other Nevada Top 10 notes: James ‘VintageATL’ Piccolo joins the top 10 in the Silver State for the first time after putting together a massive string of PLB qualified cashes. After taking third place in the July 16 edition of the $100,000 GTD on WSOP.com for $12,616, he posted nine PLB scores in a row.
