Fabrzio ‘SixthSenSe19’ Gonzales seems to quite comfortable sitting at #1 (SHRPO photo)

Just two weeks Uruguayan poker pro Fabrzio ‘SixthSenSe19’ Gonzales took over the #1 spot in the PocketFives Rankings for the first time and he doesn’t seem to be willing to let go of it any time soon. Gonzales maintained his hold on top spot this past week and has nearly a 1,000-point lead over his closest competitor.

Gonzalez had just one cash this past week that was big enough to count toward his PLB score. He finished fourth in the $1,050 Sunday Grand Pot Limit Omaha event for $15,872 and 193.2 points. He now sits 930.61 ahead of the rest of the field.

The player closest to Gonzalez is Brazil’s Joao Mathias ’joaomathias’ Baumgarten. The former #1-ranked player had four qualifying cashes this week including two big wins on PokerStars, first in the $320 Omania High Roller (Five Card PLO, Six Max) for $8,455/198.24 and then in the $55 Bounty Builder for $6,152/208.33. He also had a fourth place finish in the PokerStars Big $55 on last Thursday for $4,022/115.37 and a ninth place finish on Sunday in the partypoker Super High Roller for $5,863/109.51.

Alex ‘alexd2’ Dimitrov cashed a total off 37 times this past week, with four of them earning enough points to add to his PLB score. The first came via a third place finish in the 888poker $50,000 Volcano for $10,356/153.57 last Tuesday. He then followed that up with a third place finish in the PokerStars Big $215 on Thursday for $7,039/137.45. That same day he also took down the partypoker High Roller for $11,069/178.89. He wrapped up the week with a runner-up finish in the PokerStars Big $44 for $8,831/189.98.

The top two ranked Swedish players, ‘C Darwin2’ and ‘lena900’ also held onto their respective #4 and #5 rankings.

‘C Darwin2’ had two cashes big enough to add to his PLB score and both were wins. The first came in the partypoker Heavyweight: The Uppercut which earning him $10,376/236.85 on Sunday. His next win, which was also his next cash, came two days later in the PokerStars Hot $55 for $8,536/229.35.

Not to be outdone, ‘Lena900’ also had two qualifying cashes. The first was also a win in the partypoker High Roller on Tuesday which added $11,574 to his bankroll and 192.35 points to his PLB score. His second qualifying score came from a fourth place finish in the PokerStars $215 Bounty Builder for $6,472/132.31.

While there was no change in position for any of the top five this week, spots 6 – 8 were jumbled all around thanks to a big week from Andreas ‘r4ndomr4gs’ Berggren. The Swede had two wins this past week including topping the field in the partypoker High Roller on Sunday for $15,948/281.96. He then won the PokerStars $109 No Limit Hold’em (Six Max, Hyper Turbo) for $4,552/$152.15. He then added more to his PLB score, finishing 10th in the $1,050 PokerStars Sunday Grand (NLHE) for $5,013/144.73. Those three scores allowed him to move from #8 to #6.

In the process of moving up the rankings, Berggren leapfrogged Patrick ‘pleno1’ Leonard and Conor ‘1_conor_b_1’ Beresford for the only movement this week. No players fell out of the top 10.
