RANKINGS: Fabrizio ‘SixthSenSe19’ Gonzalez Strengthens Hold on Top Spot

Fabrizio ‘SixthSenSe19’ Gonzalez added over 1,000 points to his PLB total this week

Just over 10 days ago one player had a dominating Sunday in the partypoker High Roller and Super High Roller, winning both for just over $75,000. That player, ‘DrMikee’, was relatively unknown, making the feat even more special. It turns out that ‘DrMikee’ is actually the #1-ranked player in the world, Fabrizio ‘SixthSenSe19’ Gonzalez.

Gonzalez was playing under the new screenname after his original partypoker account, ‘gotunagi19’, was compromised a week earlier. When the PocketFives Rankings were calculated last week, Gonzalez had yet to add the new screenname to his PocketFives account, so the scores weren’t included. Now they are and all it did for Gonzalez was dramatically increase the distance between himself and the rest of the field.

The Super High Roller and High Roller wins were worth 350 and 397.49 PLB points respectively. He also managed to take down the PokerStars Fat Thursday for $14,499/282.84. He know has 9,887.83 PLB points and sits 1,205.72 points ahead of his closest competitor.

That player is Alex ‘alexd2’ Dimitrov, who sits second in the rankings for the fifth consecutive week. The Bulgarian pro wracked up 36 total cashes this past week, but it was only the last one that earned him any PLB points. Dimitrov beat out 81 other players to win the $500 buy-in High Roller on the Winning Poker Network. That win earned him $13,125 and 229.13 points.

The rest of top 10 this week looks very similar to last week. The only player to drop out of the top 10 was Joel ‘jbrown8777’ Brown, who ended up #11. The player moving up to take Brown’s spot was Anton ‘AnteSvante’ Wigg. The former EPT Copenhagen winner won the PokerStars Fat Tuesday for $15,200/282.84 and then finished fourth in the PokerStars PLO Sunday Grand for $14,162/178.41.

Wigg brings the number of Swedish players in the top ten to five. ‘lena900’ is the highest ranking member of that group, coming in at #4. Former #1 ‘C Darwin2’ is now sixth, Andreas ‘r4ndomr4gs’ Berggren is eighth and Johannes ‘Greenstone25’ Korsar is tenth.
