The world of online poker is full of #1-ranked players. Here's a sample of who is leading the way in their home country.

After weeks of very little movement in the PocketFives Worldwide Rankings top 10, there has been some shifting of spots with two online grinders climbing their way into career-high rankings.

At the top of the rankings remains Sweden’s ‘lena900’. While he didn’t manage any PLB qualifying cashes, “lena900” continues to pad his bankroll with a pair of five-figure scores this week. His grind was highlighted by a runner-up finish in 888poker’s July 15 edition of The $50,000 Whale for $14,500.  He continues his climb to $12 million in lifetime earnings, nearly surpassing the $11.25 million mark.

Still trailing the #1 spot by over 1800 PLB points is fellow Swede, and former #1-ranked player, ‘C Darwin2’. He did pick up some valuable points this week when he finished in second place in PokerStars’ June 15 edition of the Hotter $215 for $10,689 and 187.77 PLB points.

There’s a new #3-ranked player this week as Russia’s ‘hellohellohello’ overtook Roman “Romeopro” Romanovsky, who continues to be MIA from the online tables. “hellohellohello” benefitted from the aging PLB scores of Romanovsky, as he was also unable to score any new PLB points, despite making a few appearances online.

A new member of the top 5 is Canada’s ‘GINS FINEST’ who touches #5 for the first time in his career. Like ‘hellohellohello’ just above him, the Canadian’s one spot jump up is mostly due to a lack of activity from the, now, #6 ranked Andres ‘probirs’ Nemeth who took the entire week off.

Ramiro ‘Ramiro’ Petrone had a healthy schedule this past week, picking up a second place finish in the partypoker Big Bounty Hunter on June 14 for $4,674 and 130.52 PLB points. The top ranking Argentinan is very likely to hit $4 million in lifetime earnings within the next two weeks as he is less than $14,000 shy of the milestone.

Sweden’s ‘Ariados’ maintains his #8 rank despite not registering for any tournaments this week. Fabrizio ‘SixthSenSe19’ Gonzalez picks up one spot to land at #9 this week.

The UK’s new #1-ranked player, Jonathan ‘proudflop’ Proudfoot is the second player in the top 10 to reach a new career high rank by coming in at #10. In total, Proudfoot made over $26,000 this week over the course of 29 cashes. Proudfoot had been steadily ascending over the course of the past few months and now is only 100 PLB points from taking another step up in the rankings.
