The world of online poker is full of #1-ranked players. Here's a sample of who is leading the way in their home country.

It’s yet another week atop the PocketFives Worldwide Rankings for the Swedish sensation ‘lena900’.

Not only has ‘lena900’ spent the entire month of July in the #1 position on the rankings, he’s held that spot since the start of the summer. What makes his run at the top even more impressive is the fact that he’s only had three total PLB qualifying scores for the entire month. The Swede had built up such an impressive lead, thanks in part to his strong showing in the previous spring series like partypoker‘s POWERFEST and PokerStars’ SCOOP, that he was able to coast on some pretty light volume this month and still maintain the #1 rank.

‘lena900’s countryman ‘C Darwin2’ continues to play catch up and trails the #1 rank by over 1750 PLB points. Helping him close the gap though was a third-place finish in the July 22 edition of the PokerStars Bounty Builder High Roller for $17,131 and 223.84 PLB points.

Like much of the top 10 this week, Russia’s ‘hellohellohello’ kept his same rank as last week, coming in at #3. However, he did manage to put together a pair of impressive scores this week. The first was a fourth-place finish in the PokerStars $2,100 Sunday High Roller for $18,323 and 183.64 PLB points. Later that day he made another final table, finishing in fifth place in the bwin.com Super Sunday 1K for another $9,744/156.05.

There continues to be no sign of  #4 ranked ’Romeopro’ on the virtual felts. This leaves an opening for the #5 ranked ‘GINS FINEST’ to make a run at overtaking him. The Canadian currently trails ‘Romeopro’ by just over 213 PLB points. He helped himself this week by logging on for the first time since July 1 and finishing as the runner-up in the July 24 edition of PokerStars Bounty Builder High Roller for $11,430 and 190.64 PLB points.

A similar situation is evolving between #6 ranked Andres ‘probirs’ Nemeth and #7 ranked Ramiro ‘Ramiro’ Petrone. Nemeth has seen his PLB points slipping while on a multi-week hiatus from online poker. The #1-ranked Argentinan Petrone one the other hand has continued to grind resulting in a pair of qualifying PLB scores this week. On July 25 Petrone scores a pair of victories. The first was in the PokerStars Big $215 for $5,362/152.32 PLB points and then he took down the $109 NLHE 6-Max, Hyper-Turbo for another $3,603/134.32. Petrone is within striking distance of overtaking Nemeth, trailing him by roughly 200 PLB points.

Jonathan ‘proudflop’ Proudfoot has made a new career-high ranking for the second week in a row. Jumping up two spots to #8, the UK grinder had a big week with a pair of five-figure scores. He won the partypoker Tuesday Major for $13,000 and also took down the PokerStars $530 Bounty Builder High Roller for another $10,760. In total, Proudfoot added 478.98 PLB points to his total this week.

Fabrizio ‘SixthSenSe19’ Gonzalez held fast at the #9 position. His week was highlighted by a victory in the partypoker Super Sunday Smooth Deepstack for nearly $15,000 and 279.28 PLB points.

Finally, wrapping up the top 10 this week is Patrick ‘pleno1’ Leonard. The #10 ranked Leonard posted a pair of monster results on July 22 including a victory in the partypoker Sunday Big Bounty Hunter for $22,999 and 387.30 PLB points. He then backed that up with a final table finish in the 1K Sunday Big Bounty Hunter for another $13,890/194.66.

In other top 25 notable moves:  Austria’s #1-ranked player ’Dattebayo’ rejoins the top 25, checking in at #21. When someone enters, someone must leave and this week it was Russia’s ‘NoPlanB’, slipping from #25 to #27.
