For the first time in 14 weeks Fabrizio ‘SixthSenSe19’ Gonzalez wakes up as something other than the #1-ranked online poker player in the world. Gonzalez fell to #2 this week after Sweden’s ‘lena900’ put together one of the most impressive weeks in recent memory to move from #4 to the top spot.

‘Lena900’ had 33 cashes this past week, including six big enough to add to his PocketFives Leaderboard points total plus another cash from last week that hadn’t been counted previously. That was his victory in the $215 buy-in partypoker $250,000 Guaranteed Title Fight: Heavyweight. He topped the 1,454 player field for $46,528 and 539.26 PLB points – the highest score he’s ever recorded.

His week continued with a runner-up finish in the partypoker High Roller on January 11 ($9,250/147.53), a win in the PokerStars $109 Six Max on January 13 ($4,863/158.83), a win in the partypoker High Roller on January 14 ($12,394/240.83) and another runner-up finish in the partypoker Six Max High Roller on January 15 ($9,848/148.26). And then came Monday.

He started the day off with a win in the PokerStars Omania High Roller for 47,496 and 179.16 points. He then capped off the week by taking down the Winamax W Series KO Championship for $26,418 in earnings and 496.45 PLB points – the second highest total of his career.

All told he had seven cashes count towards his PLB score worth $156,797 in earnings but also a whopping 1,910.32 points. He now sits atop the rankings but holds just a 21.66 point lead over Gonzalez. This is not the first time that ‘lena900’ has been #1. He held the top spot for four weeks in April 2016.

The Uruguayan grinder cashed just 15 times this week with only two finishes at the end of the week being good enough to add to his PLB total. He finished ninth in PokerStars Sunday Grand NLHE on January 15 for $5,578 and 147.05. The same day he finished fifth in the partypoker Super High Roller for $11,063 and 146.22 points.

Gonzalez’s drop was mirrored by both ‘C Darwin2’ and Alex ‘alexd2’ Dimitrov, both of whom fell one spot in the rankings. Despite falling one spot, Sweden’s ‘C Darwin2’ still added to his points total thanks to to partypoker High Roller finishes. The first came on January 11 when he finished runner-up in the $530 buy-in event for $14,939 and 208.63 points. On January 15 he finished runner-up in the $2,600 Super High Roller, this time earning $30,975 and 253.58 points.

Dimitrov also had two cashes that added to his total and both came during the Sunday Majors grind. He won the PokerStars Hot $109 for $19,553 and 351.71 points and just a few minutes later took down the PokerStars $109 with rebuys fro $5,422 and 149.09.

The top 10 remained the same from last week until #9 where Conor ‘1_conor_b_1’ Beresford moved to from #10.

Former #1-ranked Nicolas ‘PokerKaiser’ Fierro made his presence felt this week with a move into the top 10. Fierro was previously #13. His move up the rankings was powered by just two cashes, but both were wins and added nearly 500 points to his total. The first big score came in the early hours of January 10 when he won the $200 buy-in $50,000 guaranteed on Black Chip Poker for $14,063 and 261.91 points. The following Sunday he won the PokerStars Big $22 for $7,775 and 230.52 points.

The only player to fall out of the top ten this week was Patrick ‘pleno1’ Leonard who dropped two spots from #9 to #11.
