There’s no change at the top, but ‘C Darwin2’ has a new name chasing him.

The top of the PocketFives Rankings have undergone very little change over the past six weeks, with Sweden’s ‘C Darwin2’ continuing to hold on to the top spot the entire time. The group of players directly behind him continues to include the usual suspects; ‘Sheater’, ‘veeea’, Joao ‘joaosimaobh’ Simao, ‘lena900’ and #2-ranked Steven ‘SvZff’ van Zadelhoff, but there’s suddenly a new name in the mix, ‘DamageAP’.

One week after posting two big wins and stretching his overall lead, ‘C Darwin2’ was put in less volume this week and failed to record a single qualifying cash. Nine of this 10 cashes this week came from his normal Sunday grind, with a 10th place finish in the 888poker Whale tournament being the closest he got to a final table.

The top four spots remained the same with #5-ranked ‘veeea’ and #6-ranked ‘Sheater’ swapping spots for the third straight week. Chris ‘Big Huni’ Hunichen moved from #9 up to #7 after a Sunday that saw him win the partypoker High Roller and finish fourth in the Super High Roller for $35,000 in earnings and 440 PLB points.

Despite the similarities with last week’s rankings, a new player made their debut this week. ‘DamageAP’ came in at #20 with 6,570.85 points after updating their profile with all associated screennames. In the past week alone, ‘DamageAP’ finished runner-up in a partypoker High Roller, fourth in the PokerStars Sunday Marathon, and then runner-up in the partypoker Heavyweight Title Fight Kick Off. He is now also the #1-ranked player in the Philippines.

While Swedish players continue to dominate the Top 25, one of that country’s stalwarts suffered a massive drop this week. Robin ‘inhoo’ Ylitalo, who was #8 just a week ago, ended up at #17 this week despite the fact that he picked up 130.79 points for a fifth place in the PokerStars Daily 500 on November 14.

Chris ‘Apotheosis’ Kruk worked his way up to a spot inside the Top 25. Kruk moved from #35 to #22 after his only three cashes this week all counted toward his PLB score. On Sunday, November 22, he finished 22nd in the partypoker High Roller Warm Up and third in the Super High Roller for just over $33,000 in earnings and 327.06 PLB points. He added $34,006 and 462.06 the next day after winning the partypoker High Roller.
