It’s another week in the top spot for ‘C Darwin2’ but due to a week where the Swedish powerhouse put in very light volume his one-time seemingly insurmountable stranglehold on the PocketFives.com Rankings has been reduced to just 218.46 PLB points. And when the man chasing you down is the #2-ranked WCOOP Main Event Champion, Steven ’SvZff’ van Zadelhoff, a lead of that size can evaporate at any time.

Unlike ‘C Dawrin2’, van Zadelhoff has been on the grind, surging upwards in points, closing in on the 10,000 plateau with the help of scores like his victory in the PokerStars $530 Bounty Builder High Roller for over $15,000.

The #3 and #4 spots remain the same from last week as well, with six-time Triple Crown winner ‘lena900’ and the #1-ranked Russian ‘josef_shvejk’ holding down their respective spots.

Fabrizio ‘SixthSenSe19’ Gonzalez pushed back into the top five thanks in part to a deep-ish run in the partypoker MILLIONS where he finished in 36th place for just over $25,000. Swapping places with Gonzalez is the #3-ranked Swedish player, ‘Sheater’ who just last week celebrated the massive milestone of crossing the $9 million lifetime earnings mark.

Russian‘hellohellohello’ leaped back into the top 10 this week. The former #2-ranked grinder jumped 5 spots from last week thanks to a pair of top 3 qualifying finishes including an overall victory in the Sunday 500 on December 10 for over $30,000 and 406.82 PLB points.

The #8-ranked Andreas ’r4ndomr4gs’ Berggren put in work this week, making the money no fewer than 28 times with five final tables. While fellow Swedish countryman, and the 5th member of the Swedish contingency to sit in the top 10, Johannes ‘Greenstone 25’ Korsar, climbed back into the #9 position, just three spots from his all-time high.

Russian online destroyer‘veeea’ pushes his way back into the top 10. The former Worldwide #1 took down the PokerStars Daily 500 on December 12 for over $14,000 and a healthy 265.52 PLB score helping him surpass Andras ‘probirs’ Nemeth, who falls outside of the Top 10 by a mere 18.11 points.

Joao ‘joaosimaobh’ Simao’s decline continues as he also falls outside the Top 10 to the #12 spot. This obviously has little to do with his talent, which is unquestioned, and everything to do with a lack of online play for the better part of a month.

Other notable moves in the Top 25 include major jumps from ‘DeathbyQuads’, who surged from the #25 spot up to #14, as well as Jonatan ‘Pot4teUS’ Hellman, who went from #24 to #15. Also, re-entering the Top 25 is ‘Ariados’ who last week sat just outside at #26 and this week finds himself ranked #20. All three of these players hail from Sweden.
