Belarussian 'Alexgirs' took down the PokerStars Spring Championship of Online Poker High Main Event on Thursday for over $900,000.

Wednesday’s action in the PokerStars Spring Championship of Online Poker was all about big names, big prize pools and for the first time since 2017, and a Main Event High champion other than Gianluca ‘Tankanza’ Speranza.

The final three players in Event #74 High ($10,300 NLHE Main Event) chopped up almost $2.4 million before Belarus’ ‘Alexgirs‘ took home the title and the $50,000 left to play for once the deal was made. ‘Alexgirs’ took home $920,595.81, runner-up Pablo ‘pabritz’ Brito Silva pocketed $764,941.51, and Alex ‘dynoalot’ Difelice had to settle for a $722,074.96 payday as the third-place finisher.

The Medium and Low Main Events also played down to a champion on Wednesday. Brazilian Joao ‘HayashiJoão’ Hayashi beat Michael ‘merla888’ Gathy heads-up to take home $920,066.91 for the outright win. Gathy ended up with the runner-up prize of $655,853.39. The Low Main Event was also chopped up three ways with ‘auercan‘ shipping the title to win $371,750.73.

A pair of former #1-ranked players on the Global Poker Index added SCOOP wins and a six-figure score to their growing list of accomplishments. Adrian ‘Amadi_017’ Mateos topped the 937-entry field in Event #79 Medium ($1,050 NLHE Super Tuesday SE) to earn $164,397.70. Runner-up Bernardo ‘Machadada RS’ Rocha of Brazil also won six figures, earning $118,812.40 for falling one spot short of the title. Third-place finisher ‘BBRS999’ walked away with $85,867.20. Meanwhile Steve ‘Mr. Tim Caum’ O’Dwyer banked $241,956.69 and the title for winning Event #79-High ($10,300 NLHE High Roller). Second-place finisher Juan ‘Malaka$tyle’ Pardo $185,765.68 and Brunno ‘botteonpoker’ Botteon finished in third for $142,624.33.

Murilo ‘Muka82’ Figueiredo earned a SCOOP title and $19,500 for beating 59 other players in Event #82 High ($1,050 Limit Badugi). Thomas ‘WushuTM’ Muehlocker finished second for $12,600 and ‘lafarfarel’ came third for $9,000.

Other players who found their way to the SCOOP winner’s circle on Wednesday included ‘gotthismoney‘ (Event #79-L), ‘282828drakon’ (Event #82-L), and ‘alligator14’ (Event #82-M).
