There were just six PokerStars Spring Championship of Online Poker final tables on tap Wednesday and none bigger than the conclusion of the Super Tuesday Special Edition, but it was also a big day for two of Ireland’s top-ranked players.

The 1,408-player field of Event #12 High ($1,050 NLHE Super Tuesday SE) got down to heads-up before ‘anti-durrr’ and former WSOP Main Event champ Ryan ‘MrMaximize’ Riess talked chop to split up a little over $400,000. Through the deal ‘anti-durrr’ guaranteed himself $200,000 and ‘MrMaximize’ $186,982.40 and left the remaining $20,000 for the champion. It didn’t take too long for ‘anti-durr’ to put his chip lead to work and eventually eliminated his final opponent to claim his first SCOOP title. ‘Alimounda’ finished third for $129,536. The current #4-ranked player in the world, Robin ‘robinho’ Ylitalo, finished fifth for $68,992 and former #2-ranked Grayson ‘gray31’ Ramage finished ninth for $14,643.20.

Irish grinder Dan ‘DatWillDoPig’ Rankin won Event #12 (Medium) $109 No Limit Hold’em for $63,267.61. The win is likely to move Rankin into the top 1000 of the PocketFives Rankings later this week. Runner-up ‘tekelson221’ walked away with $50,574.55 as part of a deal amongst the final three players. Eventual third-place finisher ‘hongsi93’ took home $60,889.55.

Brazil picked up its fifth SCOOP title when Felipe ‘goofy bolado’ Torres took down Event #12 (Low) $11 No Limit Hold’em for $16,094.25 after chopping with ‘Sezarr’.

The second-biggest first place prize went to the #2-ranked player in Ireland, Toby ’sadface11’ Joyce, after he took down Event #11 (High) $530 Six Max Pot Limit Omaha w/rebuys. The win outright win was worth $87,880.25. The win could move Joyce into the #1-spot in Ireland. Runner-up André ‘Sira Al Aziz’ Santos earned $61,316.34.

Another Irish player, ‘luckymo82’, won Event #11 (Medium) $55 Six Max PLO w/rebuys for $30,938.61. Germany’s ‘ToxicBluff’ finished runner-up in that event after posting a sixth place finish in the High version of the event.

The United Kingdom’s ‘HlavatyUK’ beat out online poker legend Viktor ‘Isildur1’ Blom in Event #11 (Low), $5.50 Six Max PLO w/rebuys.
