On Sunday, Connor Drinan won his third carrer SCOOP title, his second in the past three days.

Former top-5 ranked PocketFiver Connor ‘blanconegro’ Drinan picked up his second title of the 2020 PokerStars Spring Championship of Online Poker on Sunday with a victory in Event #40-H ($5,200 PLO 6-Max) for $152,011.46.

The win marked the third SCOOP title of Drinan’s career and his second in the last three days. It was just on Friday that Drinan topped the field in Event #34 ($530 Pot Limit Omaha 8-or-better) for a $34,420.52 score helping him push his lifetime career online earnings up over $8.4 million.

Drinan becomes just the fourth player to score two titles during the 2020 series, joining Artur ‘marathur1’ Martirosyan, ‘Legenden’, and Conor ‘1_conor_b_1’ Beresford.

Also picking up a six-figure score in Event #40-H was ‘kjunia’ who grabbed $115,701.07 for finishing in second place. Right behind them was ‘Lateski’ who earned $88,064.10 for third.

It was a close call for longtime grinder Joao ‘Naza114’ Vieira who nearly picked up his second title of the 2020 SCOOP in Event #39-H ($1,050 NLHE Afternoon Deep Stack). Ultimately, he fell one spot short, falling in heads-up play to ‘Pwndidi’ who topped the 481-entry field to take home the title and $85,430.16 first-place prize. Vieira was forced to settle for $63,784.35 as the runner-up while ‘poker@luffyD’ pocketed $47,623.13 for finishing in third.

‘$w4g4l1c10u$’ outlasted the 2,208 players that took a shot in Event #41-H ($530 NLHE 8-Max PKO) and earned $70,326.96 plus an additional $32,810.43 in bounties. Former #1-ranked PocketFiver Michael ‘munchenHB’ Telker finished in second place adding $70,325.51 and an additional $18,533.13 in bounties to his over $11 million in total career earning. ‘tiltcaria’ wrapped up the bronze and a $41,725.84 payday with an additional $9,646.49 to go with it.

Event #47-H ($530 NLHE Turbo PKO Sunday Cooldown) was the only High tournament on Sunday’s SCOOP schedule that started and finished on the same day. Finland’s ‘PikkuHUMPPA’ survived the 1,425-entry field to earn $47,196.51 plus an additional $43,632.16 for first place. ’SBastin’ also picked up a handsome $47,195.57 score as the runner-up and added $11,515.14 in bounties.
