In 2016, Brazilian players won an amazing 21 PokerStars Spring Championship of Online Poker titles. If the opening events of 2017 SCOOP are any indication, they’re going to have little-to-no trouble smashing that number this year.

Brazilian players won four SCOOP titles on Monday, with Diego ‘Mr.Bittar’ Bittar leading the way with a $246,504 score in Event #4 High ($2,100 No Limit Hold’em) after chopping heads-up with Germany’s ‘sk2ll_m0dR’. Bittar beat out 751 other players to win the first SCOOP title of his career. Bittar came into SCOOP as the #39-ranked player in the world, and #4 in Brazil.

The other Brazilians picking up SCOOP titles on Monday were ‘ViDss’, who won Event #3 Medium ($215 Progressive KO), for $60,482.02 after chopping with former #1 Tim ‘Tmay420’ West, Felipe ‘lipe piv’ Boianovsky, who won Event #6 (Medium) $109 Six Max No Limit Hold’em outright for $41,811 and Soul Dog RJ, who took down Event #6 (Low) $11 Six Max No Limit Hold’em for $12,530.54.

Dylan ‘ImaLucSac’ Linde beat a final table that included Stevan ‘random_chu’ Chew, Justin ‘ZeeJustin’ Bonomo, #4-ranked ‘inhoo’, ‘Apotheosis92’ and #7-ranked ‘Ariados’ to win Event #6 High ($1,050 Six Max NLHE) the second SCOOP title of his career and $126,852.24*. The final three players agreed to a deal that saw each walk away with at least $119,000.87.

Germany’s ‘O$kar15’ won the Sunday Million Special Edition (Event #4 Medium), for $160,989.46 after coming to an agreement with the final three players remaining. The $215 buy-in event attracted a field of 6,754 players. Jonas ‘donut604’ Mackoff finished sixth for $43,225.60.
